It doesn't look very impressive, but this is your standard mod starter kit. So if you want one of these, you'll want to buy a couple of 18650 batteries beforehand.

How many batteries do I need to charge my vape?

Each one provides up to 45 watts, so using two gives you up to 90 watts. If you will vape more than 90 watts, choose higher amp batteries. (Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

What are the best 18650 vapes?

LG 18650HE4 2500 mah 20 amp CDR . Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR . Sanyo UR18650NSX, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR . Sony 18650VTC5, 2600 mah 20 amp CDR . Depends on what wattage you are vaping at.

Can Panasonic Batteries be used in e-cigarettes?

Except Panasonic doesn't offer a high drain battery worthy to be used in an e-cigarette, so let's not even bring up their name. Since the Aegis Legend is a dual battery mod, you get double the wattage over a single battery mod. So for example Sony VTC6 cells are rated as 15 amp batteries.

Welcome. The mod is regulated to keep the set wattage no matter what the battery level is. Are you using Temp Control?

It may be a battery issue and/or you may be becoming more sensitive to noticing changes in your vape. Over time, battery usefulness is going to decrease. You may want to buy some more batteries and see if that corrects the problem.

I’ve had my vape for a few months now, I love it aside from when the battery hits 60 or 50%, the puff hit strength significantly decreases.. not sure if it’s a battery problem or if that’s just how the mod is..

Are you still under warranty? Might be worth pursuing if you are. Good luck,

I believe yo are using the wrong batteries. Yes you can run those batteries at that wattage but you are maxed out so are going to get short life out of them. I would go with some Sony vtc5 a or look at mooch's chart and get 25 amp batteries.

The highest demand on a battery is at full discharge so it only makes sense that underrated batteries would struggle more and more as they discharge.

One problem with performance may be battery sag when under load. Typically, in a regulated mod, the "power" should not fall off as the battery discharges. If the batteries can't keep up, the mod may throttle power down as the power demand cannot be met.

First Look

The device itself is pretty bare bones, as mentioned before it almost looks like the Smok Alien 220W. The finish of the KAOS is a sleek matte black with a silver accent around the screens and buttons, which I thought looked okay if you are more into a neutral look.

Digging Deep

This mod is like most it has a handful of features that are similar to most other mods; however when it came to the display it kind of stands out. It sports a color display which is pretty rare to see in this type of mod. That is just one of the features this device has.

How to Keep the KAOS Clean

Keeping the KAOS clean is easy, first remove the batteries and whichever tank you are using. On our mod we had the Sigelei Meteor RDTA, some juice may get under your tank so removing it for cleaning is a good idea.

Meteor RDTA Review: Choosing the Right Partner

As the KAOS Spectrum does not come with a tank of its own, I decided to choose another Sigelei product. The Meteor RDTA (which I think is the tank they should’ve included with the Spectrum) is one I had kicking around, so I thought I would give it a go with the mod. I will give a quick review on what I thought about the two bundled together.

Sigelei KAOS Spectrum and Meteor RDTA Performance

Once I had everything set up with the KAOS and the Meteor, it was smooth sailing my initial thought was almost like this thing was to much work. I have to say after getting into it the combo really works, and the flavor was surprisingly good.

Conclusion

Just some parting words about the Sigelei KAOS Spectrum and the Meteor; I really enjoyed the simplicity of the mod even though I did not come with a tank. I luckily had the (should be) partner tank to go with it, so I feel that I got the whole experience that Sigelei was going for with this mod.

Conclusion

This is a really nice mod that Sigelei produced. In my eyes, it goes a long way in helping Sigelei redeem themselves after that 213 debacle. The Mod is pleasing to the eye and the performance is very good. It’s nice in power mode, and it does a more than respectable job in TC mode. In fact, it definitely does TC better than the Alien itself.

How Does It Vape?

I really like the way the Kaos vapes. I get a pretty accurate vaping power mode. TC mode is extremely respectable with its little quirks that I wish Sigelei would address with a firmware upgrade. Even when I push this mod wattage-wise, I’ve never felt like it was woefully underpowered. I vaped this tank side by side with my 3-battery DNA mod.

First Impression Out of the Box

I received two mods for the purposes of this review. One directly from Sigelei and the other from Efun.top. The one I got from Sigelei is black and the one from Efun.top is red. First impression out of the box is that the black one is just a typical black mod. I own lots of black and silver mods.

From Top to Bottom

Let’s face it, what we have here is another attempt at a Smok Alien killer. Why not? The Alien is an extremely popular mod that almost every vaper owns. That being said, I really like the shape and size of this mod.

The Look, Feel, and General Aesthetics of the Mod

The look and feel of this mod are fantastic and why not, it’s basically the same shape as an Alien. Therefore, a lot of people are really going to like the way this mod feels in their hand. As far as the lights, colors and all that other stuff, I think I covered that back in the previous section.

The Board

As of late, Sigelei has taken a lot of heat with their boards. Rightly so because one of their last big mods, the 213, was basically a big lie when it came to temperature control. I don’t know if Sigelei developed a new board or if this is a firmware upgrade but this Kaos mod does do a very respectable job in temperature control.

The Menu System

The menu system is one of the simpler ones on the market today and I will go over all the functions right here.

What kind of batteries are used in vaporizers?

All vapor devices utilize rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (with the rare exception of disposable pre-filled cigalikes), though each device has its own specific battery needs. In this article, we’ll look at the differences between integrated and removable batteries and learn how to stay safe when using them.

What is battery in vaping?

Arnie Breazy. April 16, 2019. Batteries are a critical component of every vaper's hardware, whether you know it or not. Simply put, they provide the power needed to vaporize your e-liquid: no power, no vapor.

What is integrated battery?

As we mentioned above, most smaller pod and cigalike devices use an integrated battery, meaning it's built into the body of the vapor device and isn't meant to be removed or replaced. Integrated batteries will use chemistry called lithium ion (with a liquid core) or lithium polymer ...

What is battery re-wrapper?

More common are battery "re-wrappers" - these companies purchase cells manufactured elsewhere, often "seconds" that don't pass quality control inspection at the manufacturer, and then wrap them with a private label that may or may not accurately describe the battery's capabilities. Some popular re-wrappers in the vaping world include Efest, Imren, and Vappower, among others.

What is the discharge rating for box mods?

High-powered box mods require lithium cells with a continuous discharge rating of 20 amps or higher; while other battery manufacturers like Panasonic and Sanyo exist they don't currently produce cells capable of such a high output.

How many times can you recharge a battery?

The one downside to using them, however, is that every battery has a finite number of times it can be recharged. Once your battery begins to fail, you've got to replace the entire device, which typically occurs after somewhere between 150 and 300 charge cycles.

Is it safe to use a battery powered vape?

If you're considering a device with replaceable cells, don't worry. When handled properly, they're as safe as other battery-powered electrical devices - just take a few minutes to learn before you buy. In the meantime, you can also check out Breazy’s vast library of vaping resources here.
