If you hear a hissing sound or notice the battery has begun to bulge, your battery is likely severely malfunctioning and needs to be safely disposed of. That said, overheating vape battery incidents are extremely rare, especially if the user follows basic safety guidelines.

Why does my e-cig make a noise when I vape?

The type of e-liquid you vape can alter the sound your e-cig makes as you vape it. The ratio of the diluents in your e-liquid determines how thick or thin your e-liquid is. If you have more of the diluent Propylene Glycol (PG), it is a thinner consistency so your e-liquid will be thinner.

Why does my vape smell bad when I vape?

It is caused by your vape coil. Remember you are dealing with an electrical device that is doing several things at once as you vape. As you draw on your e-cig, e-liquid is pulled into your atomizer head. The atomizer head has a coil inside it that heats up as you press your button.

What does it mean when your e-cig makes a crackling sound?

This is an e-juice being heated by the coil and vaporizing, and it means a good sign that your e-cig works properly. When you vape, your e-liquid hits a very hot coil and turns it into a vapor. This reaction makes you hear a crackling noise.

Why does my vape coil Crackle and pop?

The crackling and popping you hear from your e-cig is completely normal. It is caused by your vape coil. Remember you are dealing with an electrical device that is doing several things at once as you vape. As you draw on your e-cig, e-liquid is pulled into your atomizer head.

Why does my vape make a hissing noise?

Whenever you take a hit, you should hear a very soft hissing sound that's accompanied by steady, soft crackling. This means that your device is functioning properly and that your e-liquid is being properly heated by your coil.

Why is my charger making a sizzling noise?

This is a vibration noise which occurs when electric current flows through a transformer or a winding wire inside a component part. However, the charger may still be used without any concern as there is no need to worry from a safety point of view.

What happens if I over charge my vape?

Overcharging can lead to battery capacity loss. Overcharging shortens the battery life of a batter, causing it to lose it's charge a lot faster. Overcharging is one of the main causes of battery explosions. When a battery is overcharged, the batter is more at risk to overheat, causing a malfunction or over-discharge.

Is my vape going to explode?

Any brand or type of vape pen with a lithium-ion battery could theoretically explode in use. If there is a defect with the battery or if the device is used incorrectly, such as using the wrong charger or getting the battery wet, it could lead to a fire and explosion.

Why does vape explode?

A large majority of “vaping explosions” are in reality caused by loose batteries carried in pants pockets, not by vaping devices at all. FDA Center for Tobacco Products researchers found that 77.3 percent of burns caused by vaping accidents were to the upper leg and lower trunk—the location of the hip pocket.

USB chargers get hot while charging. Excessive heat may be due to mismatching the charger and device's voltage, a hardware malfunction, using the wrong charger for a device, or using a device while also charging it. Some heat is expected, but if it's too hot to hold then that is a serious problem.

Can I leave my vape charging overnight?

Can you Leave it Charging Overnight? You shouldn't leave any of your electronics to charge overnight. The likelihood that something goes wrong may be small, but you have a better chance of dealing with it if you are awake than if you are sleeping. Unplug your chargers before bed.

Can you charge a vape with juice in it?

Don't charge your vape if it is wet or covered in e-liquid. This increases the possibility of arcing and short circuits in your device which could damage your vape/battery.

Is it okay to not fully charge your vape battery?

Don't over-drain your batteries If possible, try to not completely drain your batteries — lithium-ion batteries tend to lose more capacity the further you let them discharge. Most mods will come with some form of battery level indication.

Fixing Too Noisy Popping & Crackling Sounds

During longer inhales your device will be pulling more vape juice than it can normally handle and during that time it will gurgle like crazy. Instead of getting more vapor, you will receive a mouthful of your juice (untreated) straight from the tank.

Spitback & Bad Flavor Are the Important Yardsticks

Sounds may be annoying, but mean little in the grand scheme of things. Only when the sound is accompanied by burnt flavor or spitback [hot e-juice shooting onto your lips] should you get really concerned.

So every now and then, my PV will emit a very quiet buzzing sound when firing my atty. It'll happen for a little while, then stop. Then the next day, it will begin again at some point. To be honest, it might happen more often as I don't always vape in dead silent environments.

that is your coil firing im 95 % sure maybe someone else will chime in . I dont think you have anything to worry about .are your ohms staying consistent if so dont worry

Are you able to hear the slight buzzing sound behind the usual sound of the coil firing? It's not a sound you'd expect to hear alongside the normal sound.

Best thing to do is pop another atty on the Vamo, to check if it's the Vamo buzzing or the Rocket.

you should fire the rocket before reassembling. That sounds like your coil firing.

Why does my vape make a noise?

More e-liquid will condensate and less turn to vapor, thus an excess of liquid makes the noise. E-liquid can’t be vaporized effectively when your vape wattage is too low. You need to increase it for normal heating or try to make longer draws. Otherwise, you may flood your atomizer and e-juice will spit into your mouth.

Why does my vape keep popping?

We are talking about occasional popping because of twisted coil build, and you can hardly prevent it. Be sure that your coil twists and braids are very tight in your device. You can also hear a vape popping when your device has a narrow drip tip or chimney.

Why does my vape spit?

Vapes spit because juice collects on the coil and does not vaporize. This problem is caused by coils getting flooded with too much liquid, low wattage settings, and airflow that is too open, and a variety of other reasons.

Why does my RDA tank spit?

Overpriming. A common cause of a tank or RDA spitting is overpriming. Priming coils is essential, but some people overdo it and put too much liquid onto the coil and wicking. Instead, use a moderate amount to prime the coil.

Why do coils pop?

A Coil Design. Twisted and braided coils have more surface area, which helps to produce more vapor and may cause extra popping sounds . Such types of coils have more crannies and nooks, that’s why more e-liquid pops. We are talking about occasional popping because of twisted coil build, and you can hardly prevent it.

Why does my atomizer pop?

A thinner e-liquid might cause coil flooding and atomizer’s popping and spitting. You may use thicker vegetable glycerin instead of thinner propylene glycol liquid. Sugar is very much like wood when it is burned. Both contain cellulose which breaks down when burnt. Then the gases vaporize and make a popping sound.

Why do coils get flooded?

Deep drags are another reason why coils get flooded. Luckily, this problem is easy to solve. Just take slower and shallower drags. The airflow can be tightened, but the drags still need to be shallower because deep drags will flood the coil regardless of the airflow setting.

Why do vapers take so long?

This is commonly due to the way in which the individual user to take drags from a cigarette, which tends to be rather vigorous.

Why does my power supply gurgle?

That is, the lower the resistance, the higher the wattage should be, and vice versa. Each resistance tank will have a range that is considered the “sweet spot.” If your power output is set too low to properly heat the coil , it will result in flooding and gurgling. Try increasing your wattage/voltage to a level that is within the recommended range—this may resolve the flooding and gurgling you are experiencing.

What happens if you prime a coil?

A properly primed coil will result in a much richer and tastier flavour, thicker vapour clouds, and a longer-lasting head. Taking the necessary steps to prime a new coil will also help you avoid dry or burnt hits. However, if too much e-liquid is added to a new coil, this can result in flooding and gurgling. The amount of e-liquid necessary ...

How does a vacuum tank work?

In order for the vacuum effect to function appropriately, the tank needs to be well-sealed and air-tight. Check the assembly of the tank’s various components to ensure that everything is connected properly and securely. In addition, inspect the various parts for cracks or gaps that could potentially allow excess air to enter the tank. This can also contribute to flooding and gurgling.

Can a new coil be a dud?

Likewise, sometimes a brand new coil can be a dud that lasts a fraction of the time you expect it to or can be faulty right from the start. Try replacing the coil to see if it helps eliminate the problem.

Why does my vape make a gurgling noise?

If you notice a gurgling or spitting noise, it might mean that your power is too low. If you have an adjustable power vape and the wattage is too low , excess fluid can gather in your atomizer head. It isn’t being vaporised quickly enough and will flood your coil, causing a gurgling noise or spitting.

Why is my atomizer louder?

Your atomizer head can have different styles of coil inside. If the coil is mesh or has multiple coils, then there is more surface area to vapourise e-liquid. This means that you get more flavour and vapour from your vape juice. But it will also sound louder as you are vaping.

How does an e-cigarette work?

As you draw on your e-cig, e-liquid is pulled into your atomizer head. The atomizer head has a coil inside it that heats up as you press your button. This coil then vaporises your e-liquid into a vapour that you can inhale. As the e-liquid is vaporised it makes a slight popping or crackling sound.

What is the difference between a high and ultra vape tank?

So a vape tank from the high or ultra category, will have adjustable airflow that opens much wider, than a tank in the regular category. With all tanks, the airflow can be closed right down, but a tank in the regular category will have a much more restricted airflow, therefore less of a ‘whoosh’ sound.

What does it mean when you draw on an e-cigarette?

As you draw on your e-cig, you are pulling air into it. This air runs across the coil to move the vapour from your vape tank, to you. This is when you might hear a light ‘whoosh’. With most standard e-cigs, you won’t hear much of anything. But if you have a sub-ohm kit, with wide open airflow then it might be noticeable.

What does it mean when your atomizer is thinner?

A thinner e-liquid means the noise from your atomizer head might be slightly more noticeable as there isn’t the thickness there to dampen the sound. Even with a thicker e-liquid your atomizer head is doing the same job and making the same sounds, it is just buffered from your e-liquid.

Does a sub ohm vape make noise?

It will be nearly instantaneous as the coil heats up hotter, quicker than a higher resistance coil. But the noise won’t last as long with a sub-ohm vape. As it produces much more vapour, you tend to draw for a shorter period of time.
