You can try to raise the center pin of your battery to make better contact with your tank's coil, but I don't hold out much hope for it.

Anyone ever had their 510 manual battery turn on and the blue led light doesn't shut off? It doesn't appear to be drawing any power. If I put the atty back on it and push the button it doesn't light it. When I put it in the charger it still stays blue and the charger wont charge it. It worked fine all day till just now. I been rotating batteries .

I haven't had this problem with a manual battery, however, it did happen once with an automatic... juice can get into the battery and make it 'stick'. It still sounds like the button or a connection inside the battery is stuck, though.

DoomsDay Senior Member ECF Veteran

Well, It appears that it is just dead. There was no juice in it at all. No power registering at all when I hit the button or not. Using a volt meter, I tested the other batteries and at full charge, they were 3.85. This battery which was working fine just a few seconds before hand, is not registering any power even though the light is on.

I have not had the best luck keeping 510 batteries going so I went to a 510 mod with removable batteries. 2 out of 4 shorted out the first month in rotation and they are too expensive to put up with that.

I-35 Electronics is where I got my order from. The guy has been very nice. One of the cartomizers I had was bad and he already has shipped me out a new one. I got a couple other batteries coming anyway, so I will probably just eat the cost on this battery. Not really his fault, just looks like something shorted in it.

Ok, I couldn't take it any longer. I took the battery out and figured out why the light was staying on and it wouldn't charge. There is a red wire going from the bottom of the battery where the light is, and goes down the length of the battery to a small circuit board that has the switch on it.
