Sounds like your coil ohms are too low for the evod and the battery is shutting itself to prevent damage from overheating.

Sounds like a short in the battery and the protection kicking it. DYI coiling shouldn't have done that to your battery though. Do you check your resistance of your new coils before attempted use?

You could also have a short in your coil. I realize you didn't make the coil but it is definitely a issue with the build.either it is too low OR it is preventing it from firing due to a short. Try a different coil, check your atomizer over carefully, and see what the results of that is.

Your battery might not be charging, if the charger's blinking green and red. The 5 flashes on the battery often means that it needs a charge. Check the charger where you screw the battery in and make sure that it isn't all gunked up with black stuff. If it is, unplug it and clean it with a Q-tip or tissue dipped in rubbing alcohol.

Do you have a higher resistance coil you can try as process of elemination? Has the coils you have currently EVER worked on your unit? Try a higher resistance coil and see if your device begins to behave normally again. If it does, you have the answer. Too low of resistance.
