Got set up with everything to build and built my first coil that day. It turned out okay, higher ohm than I wanted, which brings me to my actual question.

Okay cool. The build I have on there now is working, just not as well as I had hoped. Going to either try another macro or possibly a sleeper, I like the idea of having one wire for both coils. Seems like you would have a more consistent current which would mean a more consistent vape.

If making dual coils, test each one separately to make sure the have the same resistance (at 2x your target value, as noted above). Don't go by "final", parallel, reading of both.

For example, if the can of the battery is negative and the wrapper gets damaged and is allowed to contact the side of your tube, if the pin of the 510 is on the postive then you've just completed the circuit and the mod will "autofire" until the battery is removed... On the other hand, if it's flipped the other way around then both sides of the coil are in contact with the negative side of the battery and it won't fire... That might seem like a safer alternative, except that when you try to fire it, instead of firing the coil you're going to have a DIRECT and very low resistance short directly between the positive and negative... It's going to go bad very quickly... Especially if the arc created "welds" the switch shut which I've heard of happening before as well...
