What is the difference between SS316L and ss317l?

SS316 and SS316L is 0.00092 SS317 and SS317L is 0.00088. I don't see the point of running TC mode unless you're using correct TC value Well, the point would be: they mix variant alloys and stamp them one or the other - and the "official" TCR doesn't work on occasion, but an "alternative" does..

What size wire for SS316L coils?

I want to use that setup in Temp Control and/or Wattage mode with SS316L coils. Bought 4 spool of SS316L wires (28ga single wire, Fused Clapton 28*28+32, Alien 0.3*0.8Flat+32ga, Clapton 26ga+32ga) and need build recommendations for a good vape with good flavor and vapor production.

Can you use SS316L in wattage mode?

TC vaping generally uses one of these four types of vape wires: Stainless steel: this wire is very popular and readily available. It comes in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430 but the most common is SS316L. SS can be used in wattage or temperature control mode.

What temp and wattage should I vape at?

Many people agree that 420 degrees Fahrenheit or 216 degrees Celsius is the sweet spot. You get as much flavor as possible without feeling the warmth of the vapor. If you want to add even more flavor, try a temperature between 425 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit or 218 and 232 degrees Celsius.

What setting should I set my vape to?

As a general rule, dab temperatures are set between 315℉ to 900℉. Below 315℉ is usually too low to vaporize cannabis concentrates. And above 900℉ can release carcinogens as well as a harsh, burnt vapor.

What temp do you vape nicotine?

390 F to 420 F390 F to 420 F is considered the best temperature range to vape e-juice at. This is because you will be provided with a substantial, but refreshing hit that is smooth to the lungs. Delicious, optimum flavor is also emitted, giving you an enjoyable, full experience from the juice.

What wattage gives the best flavor?

The sweet spot for getting a balance of vapour and flavour is around 0.3ohms. Depending on your coil choice you'll want to up the wattage from anywhere between 50 and 100 watts. Clapton and Alien coils usually take a bit more power to ramp up so you'll want to boost the wattage if you're using either of these options.

What does a higher wattage do for vaping?

Basically, a higher wattage is needed to produce the right amount of vapor. -Pod systems are less about lots of vapor, and more about a satisfying nicotine hit – that's why they're made for mouth-to-lung vaping, which introduces a smaller amount of vapor into the mouth before it's inhaled.

What temperature is best for dry vaping?

around 392°FAs a healthy super-stoner, the optimal vaping temperature should be at around 392°F(200°C).

What do different vape temps do?

Typically, a temp higher than 392 degrees allows your body to absorb more cannabinoids. Temps lower than 392 degrees generally offer more of a 'head rush' sort of high. The temp you select has a lot to do with the way you experience your weed. 365° and lower provides superior flavor as well as anxiety relief.

Does higher wattage mean more nicotine?

When a vape coil is run at a higher wattage, it's able to create more vapour, thus giving you more nicotine per puff.

What wattage should I vape at 0.4 ohm?

23 - 28 wattFor example, a 0.4-ohm mod may recommend a 23 - 28 watt setting, and a 0.8-ohm mod may recommend you use up to 35 watts. Some recommendations can go much higher (e.g., 200 watts). Sub-ohm devices work best when using a high VG vape liquid (e.g., a VG/PG ratio of 70/30).

Wattage is going to be the ramp up time to the temperature that you set.

Tonee N Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

No, you don't need to increase the watts, it will just ramp up slower to the temperature you have it set at.

Tonee N Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

Okay. So if I want the coil to heat faster at 250C. I need to increase the wattage?

Hawise Ultra Member ECF Veteran

Say you set your temp to 215 C and your watts to 60. You press fire, and your coil is hit with 60 watts until it reaches 215 C. Then the TC kicks in and drops your wattage to whatever it needs to keep the temp at 215 C. It's not a fixed wattage as the coil would tend to heat up more over time, so the mod is constantly readjusting the watts.

FIRST you need to understand how a vape works... battery supplies VOLTAGE to the coil to produce wattage... TC and VW are the math formulas the mod uses to determine how many volts to supply. VW regulates to a set wattage target. . TC regulates to Set temp mode.. Wattage in TC is there to limit max power to coil and speed of heatup.

Hello Vapers! We all have had DNA chip for some time already and we all have tested different features of Evolv. Let's share our experience with everyone. After reading almost all the topics about SS316L, I didn't find any understandable information about the settings in Evolv.

I think single coiling probly is the best way with using the stuff, i will definatly have a bash using your recomendations, for the amount of stainless ive got here gathering dust, so for the sake of using it up... ive found twin coiling ss a nightmare..

seekerom

thanks guys! black lace, 2 questions to you 1. why single coil build is better with SS? 2.

dylang919

I love stainless steel. I running a dual fused clapton, 6 wraps, ohming out at .22, 58.7 Watts and 470 degrees. Works like a charm. Great vapor, great flavor!!

I was struggling with ss 316L for a bit. I have a panzer dna 200. My issue was a weak vape after device rests. What i have figured out to work perfectly.on my aromamizer is : Download djlsb vapes ecig profile and upload it to the device. Build contact coils 7-9 wraps each. Prepare them at low wattage. Get it to glow just enough.

What does the temperature dominant feature do? I have seen it but have left it unchecked. I did notice if I change my Hana back to factory it has them checked.

spook

i thought locking the ohms in temp mode in a dna200 is a bad idea. isnt it supposed to have that temp learning feature. thats what it says in the manual.

How many ohms does SS316L have?

For temperature control using SS316L 28 AWG single wire, I use 6 1/2 SPACED wraps, 2.5 I.D., resistance comes out to around 0.68 oh ms, vape at 12.to 12.5W. I vape MTL, prefer a cooler vape, and this serves me well.

How many watts does a Merlin mini vape?

Just bare in mind the Merlin Mini can't handle high wattage. Even with the dual coil configuration I found I got dry hits above 70 watts. With the single coil I only vaped it at 30 watts

How many ohms should coils stay in a coil?

In Temp control mode, your coils should stay 0.15-0.18 ohm. These are the best points as lower ones are not recommended.

Why use spaced wraps with 316L?

The reason I recommend spaced wraps and a higher resistance for temperature control with 316L are simple. 316L has a low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) so it doesn't take much error to throw it all off.

How to get rid of hot spots on a coil?

Get some ceramic tweezers, lightly pulse your coil at around 25-35 watt, and then gently squeeze it. After that strum the coil a couple times to fully eliminate the hot spot (s).

Does temp control give you cold vapes?

I must add, temp control will give you cold vapes, so if you are fan of warm vapors, then this style will not satisfy you.

SadikYP

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to vaping (about 3 months) and thought it's about time I tried out Temp Control, lets face it, what's the point in using a DNA device in WATT mode only. I've got a bunch of SS 316L wire coming in the next few days.

Can you post a screenshot of the Material tab in EScribe for one of the devices so we can see a list of materials that you have....

retird

Import this into your Available Materials and then add it from there to the Materials on Device. Then upload to device... Then make your SS316L Profile....and upload

SadikYP

Is there a default TC profile for 316L that I could use/edit? (will give me a starting point). Or is here a forum preferred profile I could use?

retird

Just set up one of your profiles similar to this and upload it.... You can set the Wattage, Temperature, Preheat, Punch, and Preheat Time Limit to your liking...

Wayneo

Also remove that original 316 from all profiles, then delete it. There's very little difference between straight and the L. Material is wire specific, not coil size, etc.

dylang919

I use the the 316 that comes standard with the 250 from Evolv these days. It's pretty accurate.
