I use cotton wicks (sterile cotton from CVS, lifetime supply for $3) so to remove that, wash the coil I wrapped, dry burn it, rinse, dry it....takes a short time, meanwhile ive cleaned out my tank and its ready for new juice. Sticking a new wick in is not a big deal, then just wet it down with juice its its ready.

The type of cart you have makes the easier or harder, and the disposable ones are the hardest. I simply run scalding hot water through all the parts, dry everything especially the wicks, and start anew. It doesn't need to get any more complicated than that.
