Hi Dan and welcome to VU No that is not normal for the battery to get that hot, a little warm maybe, but not as hot as you are describing. I would take it off the charger and stop using it, it is not worth risking an accident, It clearly is a defective battery. You indicated others have told you this as well, so I wouldn't risk it.

I just recently got myself a sigelei 100 plus and I absolutely love it. Coming from a mechanical mod I'm having a great time trying out new builds that just wouldn't work in a mech mod. I'm noticing, however, that no matter what I do my coils are consistently hitting hot.

Had the same problem! I usually use 24 gauge, seven or eight wraps and wind up around .6 - .7 ohms on a Plume Veil. On my mech, I have no idea what wattage it's running at, but on my IPV mini (30 watts max), even 24 watts was too damn hot!

I have the same set up exactly like you right now except I have a magma rda on top of my sigelei. I definetly had this problem at first but then I realzed that there is too much power going into these small ..... coils in building (vaping at 100 watts only of course).
