I have the same problem. What makes it worse for me is 100% Vegetable Glycerin (VG) Juices, for some people its the Propylene Glycol (PG) , But what I also noticed was the way I vaped, I tried like I do regular cigarettes, and I found out that is the wrong way.

I would also recommend getting to a Vaping Store in your area that allows samples and has custom VG/PG mixes, this was a Godsend for me, they found I did well on 33PG/70VG, The PG makes me cough but the VG overwhelms my mouth and dulls my senses, this combo worked for me, also you may be at too high of a nicotine too.

I vape 24mg juice and there are still (after three years) juices that irritate my throat and make me cough. As an experiment you might try 80/20 pg/vg, 50/50, and 30/70 pg/vg just to see how you react.
