I use cheap 151 proof vodka - Galens. I'd use Everclear (190 proof) if it was available in Ohio but it's not. Safe for human consumption (but not recommended I have a mason-type jar with a sealed top. Put just enough vodka to cover all coils. Leave it for 4-8 hours. Leaving it longer can affect the wicking.

I use everclear on my Kanger clearmizer. I put them in a tupperware type covered container, let sit for a minimum of 2 hours, take out of the everclear and sit on the desk for an hour or so. Then put them in a cloth bag (an old pillow case) and put over a heater grate during the winter.
