If it was a jar I would invert it and give it a good thump on the bottom with the palm of my hand to break the vacuum then they usually open easily. Not sure how that would work with device though.

Try running it under hot water for a minute or two, then dry it off and use some kind of material, (sheet rubber, a hand towel, or even just your t-shirt,) to give you a better grip and it should open up without much problem.

stick three pins (one through each air hole in the base) and use for leverage. I left some cinnamon juice in my tank for a couple of days and when i came back to it i couldn't get the bottom off for the life of me until put the pins in and ran it under hot hot water.

Use two pairs of pliers, and wrap cloth or paper towel around it first if you are afraid to scratch it. Squeeze gently but firmly with the pliers.

The base of the Evod was stuck on my battery! I shared you link to the live chat rep @ Apollo! Hope you don't mind! He told me to wrap a rubber band around the base, then use pliers. I did that and it worked. Now, I have to try to rebuild it! The wick head and everything broke off when I was trying to get it off.
