What wattage is best for vaping?

As a general rule, more amount of VG means there will be more vapor and more PG means there will be more throat hit. Therefore to get big clouds, chose an e-liquid with 50/50 PG/VG ratio or a higher content of VG. However, it is not always about just VG. Sometimes even a little PG added to the e liquid can reduce the vapor.

How much power does a vape coil use?

Apr 23, 2015 · Take a few drags on the device. If the vape is not too hot and you don’t get dry puffs, increase the wattage (by 3 to 5 W) and repeat steps 2 and 3. When the vapour starts getting too hot or you experience dry puffs, dial back the wattage to the last good setting.

Does vaping produce smoke?

Sep 29, 2021 · How to Use the Smok Nord 50W. The first thing to do is prime the coils. Put two or three drops inside and push them into the bottom until the edges of the coil align with the tabs on the bottom. After that, open the silicone tab on the side and fill the pod. Let the pod sit for five or more minutes so that the coil has time to absorb the liquid.

How do I choose a vape for large amounts of vapour?

Sep 09, 2019 · The substance that is produced by a vape is not smoke; it is an aerosol commonly referred to as vapour. Since it looks like cigarette smoke, though, people have taken to calling it 'vape smoke' when in fact the two couldn't be any more different from one another. Just about the only thing that the two have in common is their appearance.

How do I get more smoke from my vape?

Lean forward slightly and exhale again to get rid of excess air in your lungs. Without inhaling, blow the remaining air into your device so that you can see the vapor escape the air vents. This will increase the vapor production when you inhale through your device, giving you a kick-start on your cloud.Nov 30, 2016

What wattage is best for 50/50 vape juice?

The 50/50 PG and VG ratio is one of the most common ratios available, alluding to a good balance between flavour, throat hits, and cloud production. It is best used in low-voltage devices below 80 watts for producing bigger clouds but without overpowering flavours.Jul 16, 2021

Why is my vape not giving a lot of smoke?

Check your tank to make sure you have enough e-liquid. If your tank is completely full but you still have weak vapor, it is possible that your atomizer or coil has been flooded. If this happens, simply take your atomizer apart and clean it with a paper towel or gently blow through it to get the excess liquid out.Oct 3, 2016

The sweet spot for getting a balance of vapour and flavour is around 0.3ohms. Depending on your coil choice you'll want to up the wattage from anywhere between 50 and 100 watts. Clapton and Alien coils usually take a bit more power to ramp up so you'll want to boost the wattage if you're using either of these options.

Can you use 50/50 Sub ohm liquid?

I've often been asked if you can use 50:50 e-liquids in a sub-ohm vape tank. If you are using a tank designed for clouds, with low resistance coils and high power levels, you will probably find that the throat hit is too harsh. However, you can use 50:50 e-liquids in a sub-ohm tank if you really lower the wattage.

How do I make my vape clouds thicker?

When chasing larger vape clouds, you want to maximise the airflow to your device. This increases the amount of air that gets to the coil - a fresh flow of air will encourage the vapour to condense into thicker clouds.Jan 6, 2021

How do I make my vape clouds bigger?

Small changes to the way you inhale and exhale while using a vaping device can affect the clouds produced. Try leaning forward slightly and straightening back up as you inhale. Straightening up while inhaling naturally opens up the lungs and allows more vapour to enter them.Dec 16, 2020

Do all Vapes produce smoke?

Vaping doesn't create second-hand smoke. Vaping doesn't produce the same smelly fumes as cigarettes, but the secondhand vapor contains chemicals and compounds that pollute the indoor air.Feb 9, 2021

How do you ghost a vape?

The Ghost Inhale trick is where you exhale a thick cloud of vapour in a ball like shape and suck it back in again. This is an impressive looking trick that looks complicated but can easily be mastered with a bit of practice. Take in a long pull of vapour but keep it in your mouth, do not inhale.

Which vape blows biggest clouds?

Sub ohm vaping, also known as sub ohming, is a style of vaping that produces large clouds of vapor. Sub ohm devices utilize low resistance coils that are less than one ohm, hence the name sub ohm. They also provide enough airflow suitable for direct lung inhalation.Aug 24, 2021

What's the biggest vape tank?

The Uwell Valyrian 2 Pro is not just a larger version of one of the most popular sub ohm tanks of 2020. Coming with an impressive 32 mm diameter, the Pro offers even more airflow and a whopping 8 mL capacity!Jan 31, 2022

How to increase wattage of vape coil?

Start on the maximum airflow setting and a low wattage, towards the bottom end of the range suggested on your coil. Take a few drags on the device. If the vape is not too hot and you don’t get dry puffs, increase the wattage (by 3 to 5 W) and repeat steps 2 and 3.

How does airflow affect vapour?

The airflow over your coil cools down the vapour, and this makes it condense into liquid droplets. So the more airflow you have, the more condensation there is and the more visible “vapour” (i.e. aerosol) you produce. The extra airflow also “dilutes” the vapour with more air, which has the effect of puffing it out.

What is the best vape tank for clouds?

What’s the best type of vape tank for cloud vaping? While smaller vape tanks like the Innokin Zenith D22 are great for everyday, and more discreet use, to get really big clouds, you’re going to need a low sub ohm tank with a low resistance coil. One of my favourite tanks for clouds is the Falcon II from HorizonTech.

What is the purpose of condensation?

The airflow over your coil cools down the vapour, and this makes it condense into liquid droplets.

Why is it important to keep the temperature low?

Keeping the temperature low minimises the risk of burning your wick because it keeps everything cooler, but also brings a fresh flow of air into the mix and encourages condensation of the vapour into a cloud. By increasing the air going over your coil, you’re giving your device the chance to make more vapour.

Why is resistance important in e-cigarettes?

The lower the resistance, the easier it is to achieve high temperatures. Furthermore, a lower resistance coil will reach the higher temperatures required to produce more vapour more quickly.

Why is airflow important in vaping?

The airflow plays an important role in the tightness of the draw. Less air will give more resistance (and feel more like puffing a cigarette), more air will give an airier vape. Again, vapers’ preferences for airflow vary, so you should experiment a little to find what you like.

Smok Nord 50W Review: How Does It Vape?

This device is really fun to vape, especially for those who want something for restricted lung vaping. With the airflow setting all the way open, the draws are very smooth and restrictive. For the best results with airflow open or halfway closed, use the 0.23ohm LP2 meshed coil.

Internal Build Quality and Design

The overall design and build quality are good. The body of the vape fits the hand comfortably, and it travels well. A good aspect of this device is the airflow control. It is a tab that slides back and forth and is easy to operate.

Battery Performance

This vape contains an internal 1,800 mah battery, which is pretty good for a device with 50 watt output. It should last most of the day if not taken above 45 watts. Also, it has a type-c charging port, which allows the battery to recharge much faster than it would otherwise.

Smok Nord 50W Pod

The starter kits come with two pods that are side-filled and have the plug-and-play set up. The LP2 pod holds 4 ml of liquid, and the Nord pod holds 4.5 ml. They fit very securely to the mod, thanks to the magnetic connection.

Competing Starter Kit Products

These products look almost the same, and they both are excellent products. The most obvious difference is in the coils.

Frequently Asked Questions

The pods should last as long as the device if they are well taken care of. Take care not to drop them or use them in ways they were not intended for. Doing this will ensure they last a long time.

Closing Thoughts About the Smok 50W Kit

The Nord 50W is a versatile device because it is compatible with LP2, Nord, and RPM coils. It also has decent battery life and an ergonomic form that makes it easy to hold and transport. The only complaints are the side-mounted refilling port and the puff counter that cannot be reset.

What is the difference between smoke and vapour?

The primary difference between smoke and vapour that you should know is that smoke contains thousands of different chemicals and by-products as a result of combustion, not to mention tar . Vapour, on the other hand, has the same elements present as the liquid substance vaporised and does include tar. When cigarettes are burned, they produce ...

What happens when you burn a cigarette?

When cigarettes are burned, they produce thousands of harmful chemicals, some of which are cancer-causing, such as arsenic, methanol, and cadmium. When e-liquids are vaporised, a vapour is produced. The vapour produced is the direct result of heating the flavourings, PG, VG, and nicotine that the e-liquid contains.

What will produce a bigger cloud of vapour?

E-liquids that have a higher amount of VG will produce bigger and denser clouds of vapour. Check how much VG your current e-liquids have and if it is quite low, consider swapping it out for an e-liquid with more VG that will meet your cloud chasing goals.

Can you quit smoking with a vape mod?

If you fall into the latter group and your vape pen, e-cig, or vape mod isn't producing the amount of smoke you want , carry on reading!

What is smoke in science?

This is because the definition of "smoke" is "a visible suspension of carbon or other particles in the air, typically one emitted from a burning substance ."

Can you cut out a vape pen?

That being said, some vape pens are also quite basic and won't be cut out for the task, either. If you want to produce the biggest clouds possible, you are going to have to upgrade your device to an advanced vaping pen or vape mod.

Is vape smoke a substance?

First off, though, we want to clarify something---'vape smoke' does not exist. The substance that is produced by a vape is not smoke; it is an aerosol commonly referred to as vapour. Since it looks like cigarette smoke, though, people have taken to calling it 'vape smoke' when in fact the two couldn't be any more different from one another.

Aegis GeekVape Z50 Review: What Is It Like to Vape On?

The GeekVape Z50 is a starter kit for people who like lower wattage box mods. It only powers to 50 watts, so the vapor is not going to be as warm as the higher wattage devices. Even so, the flavor is very good because of the KA1 mesh coils.

Internal Building Quality and Design

The build and design quality of the GeekVape Z50 box mod and tank are very good. There are no issues with rattling, sticky buttons, or whistling airflow holes.

Battery Life and Performance

The vape uses a built-in 2000 mah battery, which is pretty good when considering that this is a 50 watt box mod. The battery should last most of the day or more, and it takes an hour to charge. The optimal wattage level for battery longevity is 30 to 40 watts.

The GeekVape Zeus Nano Tank

This Z Nano tank is pretty good. People are going to like the drip tip and the fill ports the most. The drip tip is 510 and removable, and the fill ports are large, so there should be no trouble with getting the nozzle into them. The fill ports are located at the top, not the bottom, which is another big pro.

Airflow

Not only are the fill ports up top, but so is the airflow. There are two holes located beneath the top cap for top-to-bottom airflow.

GeekVape Z50 Coils

The starter kit comes with 0.4 and 0.6 ohm KA1 mesh coils rated for 15 to 25 watts and 25 to 33 watts, respectively. These coils are very good at sucking every bit of flavor out of the juices.

How to Use the GeekVape Z50 Box Mod and Tank?

Prime the coils to ensure they do not dry hit by placing two or three drops of liquid into them.

What is the ratio of vape clouds?

A huge factor when it comes to vape clouds is the PG:VG ratio present in the e-liquid you are using. Depending on the e-liquid, you could see ratios of 50:50, 80:20, and 40:60, for example.

What is the difference between VG and PG in vape?

As a general rule of thumb, an e-liquid that has a higher ratio of VG to PG will produce thicker vape clouds whereas an e-liquid with a higher ratio of PG to VG will deliver a harsher throat 'hit'. Some e-liquids are available with 100% VG. These are designed especially for people who want to produce the thickest vape clouds.

How to get thick clouds on a vape?

1. Look at Your Device's Power. In short, the higher the voltage of your device's battery, the more intense your vaping experience will be, and the bigger your vape clouds will be, too. If you have a device with a low voltage (e.g. traditional e-cigs and basic vape pens) then you may struggle to get thick clouds.

Why do vapes have bigger clouds?

Increasing the device's airflow can also result in bigger clouds. When more air is flowing through your vape, the coil's temperature is kept low and this creates a cooling effect that aids the condensation process. Again, we will look at a device with adjustable airflow later.

Why do people call vapour smoke?

Many people call vapour 'vape smoke' because it looks like cigarette smoke, however, the two could not be any more different .

What is smoke in science?

Smoke is "a visible suspension of carbon or other particles in the air, typically one emitted from a burning substance" by its literal definition. To create smoke, you need to combust (burn) something. When combustion takes place, oxidation creates new chemicals and other by-products.

What is a vapor?

Vapour vapor is "a substance diffused or suspended in the air, especially one normally liquid or solid" by definition and materially different to smoke. Chemicals found in vapour are the same as those found in the substance that has been vaporised.

What is the wattage of a box mod?

The wattage of a box mod, in layman’s terms, is essentially the amount of power you send from the mod’s battery to the atomizer (AKA your vape tank). Higher wattages equal more power, and this, in turn, creates a hotter, more intense hit. And more vapor. If you want those BIG clouds, you gotta run your vape mod at higher wattages.

What are the benefits of temperature control?

Benefits of Temperature Control Vaping 1 Better Flavor Control: Certain E Juices perform better at different temperatures. For instance: having a lower temperature might bring out the sweetness more. Or, going higher could bring out richer tones. 2 Fewer Dry Hits: Because the maximum temperature is locked, you won’t get anywhere near as many dry hits – the atomizer just can’t get enough power to do it. 3 Increased Coil Life Span: With the temperature locked, you’re not maxing out the coil every time you vape, which means the coil head will last longer. 4 You Use Less Vape Juice: Again, with the temperature locked in, you can find a sweet spot where you get great flavor at lower temperatures (and, therefore, power). Less power means less E Juice burned.

What is sub ohm tank?

Sub-Ohm tanks are designed to produce more clouds. They do this by having a lower resistance (0.2ohms, for instance), and this allows for less electrical resistance which in turn allows for more signal to flow to the atomizer.

Do vape mods have a user interface?

Most modern vape mods run on a vape chip and software, just like a smartphone. Vape mods also have a user interface, buttons, and a display . In fact, they’re probably closer to a mobile phone than a cigarette in this respect. Please though, DO NOT be put off by ALL the settings and bells and whistles inside your box mod.

Does a coil last longer with a temperature locked coil?

Increased Coil Life Span: With the temperature locked, you’re not maxing out the coil every time you vape, which means the coil head will last longer. You Use Less Vape Juice: Again, with the temperature locked in, you can find a sweet spot where you get great flavor at lower temperatures (and, therefore, power).

Can you control the temperature of a box mod?

But Temperature Control vaping is a very useful feature of a box mod, as it allows you to control the maximum temperature that the atomizer will fire at. You can set it wherever you like, for instance, if you’re vaping sweeter E Juice, you could set it nice and low, to really juice-out the flavors.

I must be doing something wrong, because my vivi nova does not produce half the vapor of a proper carto w/ tank. Have you tried a proper resistance cartomizer to see the difference?

tstan23 Senior Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

50/50 blends tend to be thin enough for vivi novas and produce a good amount of vapor. Even the 40/60 pg/vg blend from HHV is thin enough. It is relatively thick compared to other juices I have but it still works. But, if you really want CLOUDS of vapor then go for the 100% VG as gthompson suggested.

What does wattage mean in vaping?

To put it another way, watts is essentially how much power your vape produces and voltage is how much power is put through the device. So, as you increase the wattage the voltage also increases and vice versa.

How to get the perfect vape experience?

After all, with most entry-level vape kits, all you need to do is: Check what wattage you can use with the coil in your device. Adjust your wattage and airflow until you get the vapour, flavour and throat hit you need. Some people want to know more to get the perfect vaping experience.

Why do vapes burn out faster?

You will need to increase the voltage to increase the wattage and get a better vape. Because lower resistance coils use more wattage, they tend to generate more heat. This means they often burn out quicker than a higher resistance coil would.

What is the resistance of a sub ohm coil?

The term sub-ohm, while still used, is not as relevant as it used to be. Coils below 1 ohm are common, and coils with a resistance of 0.8 ohms are often used for Mouth-to-Lung vaping. Even lower resistance coils, such as 0.15 coils, are often used for cloud vaping.

How does variable wattage work?

The variable wattage device will then automatically adjust the power going through the atomiser (the voltage) to produce the power output you need (the wattage).

What affects vapour and throat hit?

The resistance of your coil is not the only thing that affects vapour, flavour and throat hit. It also depends on the amount of power flowing through your coil. There are two common types of vape batteries which allow different amounts of power to flow through your coil. These are variable voltage and variable wattage.

What is the difference between variable voltage and variable wattage?

The difference between variable voltage and variable wattage is a bit like the difference between an automatic and a manual car. With a variable voltage device, you manually control the amount of power (voltage) going through your device.
