Oh man Shank Aaron! I own four of them and I never had a problem. But you are not the first that I have heard about this. First thing first. Clean the battery contacts with alcohol and use a q-tip if you have to. There is a little pin between the battery bays and make sure to moves up and down. Well that is all I got.

UPDATE- I took a closer look at the battery contacts and put two fresh batteries in and noticed that the negative battery didn't depress as far as the positive one did when I gently pushed down on them.
