We had some trouble opening some of those press and turn bottles in the beginning. We were pressing down too hard while turning. Try just a little downward pressure while you turn.

I have to deal with those types of caps all day at my job. Can you pry the top part of the cap? Most child proof caps are 2 pieces. The top piece that you push has little grabbers in it. The piece that it grabs onto has little notches in it. If you can remove the top part of the cap, HOPEFULLY you'll be able to simply turn the rest and open it.

How to make a space between a cap and a toothpick?
So the first step is to make a space between the caps by pushing your tool in between the caps. Then insert a toothpick as far as it will go. Remove the tool , then snap the toothpick off close to the edge.
