Generally, lower airflow will make a hotter vape on the same resistance coil, which could shorten coil life. MTL normally involves a combination of lower airflow and higher resistance. Assuming the liquids are a similar PG/VG ratio and have about the same amount of sweetener, they wouldn't be much of a factor.

I vape MTL, RDL, DL with several RBA's in rotation and roll my own coils. Currently I have a 2.5mm ID 26/36 316L clapton at 0.45 ohms in a Kayfun lite 2019. Wide open a KFL19 is ~1.8mm AF and closed down it will do a "proper" MTL (or tighter). I use that on a DNA mod running TC so I am able to control the temp (cool/warm) of my vape.

I like to measure coil life in terms of how many ml of liquid I go through. It makes comparisons of coil life easier among different vaping styles. My daily setup is a tight draw mtl at low wattage with 2+ ohm coils. I go through about 150ml per coil using a mild mint menthol mix.

I wrap new coils once/month (even if they don't need replacing), and I still use silica wicks (Ekowool) so I never have a burnt taste. My coils are always in the 1.6-1.8 ohm range.
