I've been working on a blu menthol disposable for over a week - well over 400 puffs, I would think - but i still seem to be getting vapor. How do i know when it is 'done'? Thanks!

Strigoi Ultra Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

I've never used a disposable, but generally when the flavor dies off or you get a burnt taste it's done. If the taste is still there and you're getting decent vapor production I'd venture to say that it's ok.

The Blu disposables are actually great to get you into vaping ...just don't get their starter kit. It sucks donkey .... The one I got lasted 3 days for me. You've know it's dead when the amount of vapor goes way down or the taste changes to burning.

I had a disposable sent as gift when i placed my v2 order couple of weeks ago , mine at the end of the day started blinking 3 times and if i leave it for a while i could take few puffs unil it blinked again.

What does it mean when your vape is cold?

If you keep on taking draws repeatedly, and no vapour is produced- meaning your device remains cold, it indicates that the battery is dead. Then again, if the device gets warm when you puff, it means that your battery is working, and your vape juice might just have dried out. An electrical short may merely be preventing its vaporization.

Why does my e-cigarette taste so bad?

Your e-cigar is out of juice if you notice that its vapour has a burnt and charred taste. Your battery power may still be on, but it is out of e-liquid, which means that your atomizer still gets hot. However, the juice has run out, causing the wick instead (which is typically made of cotton) to absorb the heat. This heat directly burns the cotton wick, giving you a nasty taste signifying that you need to buy a new vape.

Can you recharge a vape when it dies?

Nonetheless, in the event that the battery of your vape becomes dead, and because of its disposable nature, your device is basically not rechargeable, and the time is but apt to get a new one.

Can you taste a burnt taste when vaping?

Even when your device is out of juice, you may not feel a burnt taste when vaping, particularly when its wick is made of metal mesh or else coil. What you will notice, on the other hand, is an unpleasant metallic flavour. You aren’t likely to sense anything, until its components fail to function.

Can you use disposable vapes?

Are you starting out using vapes or e-cigars? You can consider using the disposable sort. There are many perks of using disposable vapes, and a lot of them apply to new users. For one thing, it will be easier on your budget. You can actually try a new vape or a new vape juice flavour without putting a big dent on your finances.

What is a Vape Coil?

The coil is arguably the most important component of any vaping device. The coil is connected directly to the battery of your device and when activated, heats the E-Liquid to produce vapour.

How Often Should You Change Your Vape Coil?

A brand new coil should last for up to two weeks. This is because the E-Liquid tends to leave a thin layer of residue on the coil when it’s been vaporised.

Signs You Should Change Your Vape Coil

While we’ve given you a recommended time frame of how often you should be changing your vape coil, this can vary from device to device for a variety of factors such as:

How long does a vape last?

If you check the label on the device, it will tell you that the device should last you up to 200 puffs. While that is technically true, how you use the vape can also affect the usage you get out of it. For instance, if you inhale deeply, the coil will remain lighted for a longer time. You’ll consume more power to keep the coil heated. In that case, the battery is likely to die quickly. Taking shorter hits and letting the battery rest in between sessions will make it last longer.

How to use disposable vape?

To get the best functionality out of your vape and prevent running out of battery too soon, remember that the device has a simple circuit without any temperature control. Use it with care using precautions like shorter draws.

What happens when you take a hit on an e-liquid?

When you take a hit, the coil heats and vaporizes the e-juice. Continuous hits dry out the wick and do not give it enough time to soak up more e-liquid. If your device isn’t blinking but does not release clouds either, you might want to set it aside for a while.

Why does my e-juice run out?

Or, maybe, errors in using them. Of course, the most common reason would be that the battery has died and/or the disposable has run out of e-juice.

What does it mean when a disposable battery is running low?

Most disposables have an indicator light that tells you that the device is in use. This light could turn red to indicate that the battery is running low on power. Or, it could blink, which is typically another sign that the battery is dying out.
