bro, u got most of this down, I simply spray cologne near my door (vercace the dreamer is a great cologne I use, cheap and I find it covers the scent of smoke/vapour very well as it has a tobacco overtone) also get a rolled towel under there.

I also have the option to move into the guest room. It's the largest bedroom and bathroom in the house. It isn't connected to any other rooms but is across the hall from my parents room. The bathroom, which is attached to the bedroom, has a window which can be opened.

Yea you're fine probably. Actually overdoing it. But why not. The best thing to do in my opinion is open the window a crack and slide a small tube/hose all the way out of your window, exhale everything through that. Just discovered this method and think it's great.
