The Long-Term Effects of Counterfeit Aspire Vape Gear

Cloning in the vaping industry is obviously bad for the companies whose intellectual property is stolen, but it’s even worse for you. When you think that you’re getting a box of Aspire coils at a great price – and those coils turn out to be counterfeit – you’re not going to have the kind of vaping experience that you should have.

Introducing the Aspire Authenticity Checker

Counterfeit Aspire products don’t just reduce the quality of your vaping experience; they also harm Aspire’s reputation as a brand. That’s why Aspire has been putting authenticity codes on its products for the past several years.

How to Check Aspire Coil Authenticity

On the box of every Aspire product, you should see a holographic sticker along with a section labeled “Scratch and Check.” Scratch that section with a coin to reveal the authenticity code. Visit the Aspire website and scroll down to the authenticity checkers near the bottom of the page.

So I use the Aspire BVC coils and have found that 80vg ejuice gets gunky pretty fast and was wondering if there was a way to clean these other then dry burning. I notice that after i dry burn i have alot of dry hits.

ElevenEleven Super Member ECF Veteran

Let them soak in everclear/vodka over night and see if that works better. 80vg is pretty thick for a BVC atomizer.

bwh79 Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

Don't dryburn those coils, you'll scorch the wick and the coil will be ruined.

djsvapour ECF Guru ECF Veteran

You can only dry-burn a coil that either has no wick (you've pulled out the wicking material) or a silica wick.

wesson Senior Member ECF Veteran

There are many on this forum that say that you shouldn't "clean" the Aspire BVCs; that they are designed to be used and then discarded when you get a funky taste or poor performance. Personally, I regularly rinse my coils in clear hot water (under a running tap). By regularly, I mean every couple of days.

Sir2fyablyNutz ECF Guru Verified Member ECF Veteran

I've had good luck letting a gunked BVC coil soak in vodka for a few days, shaking it occasionally then blow and air dry. It's not exactly like new but it is very vapeable. I'm reusing one right now as a matter of fact.

Cloud Waves Senior Member ECF Veteran

Yeah I don't dry burn any more cause it gives me a burnt taste. I have some rubbing alcohol that is 90% alcohol that I use to get rid of flavor ghosting. Would it be ok to soak a coil in this?
