HOW TO PRIME A COIL

Ok, so let’s assume you’ve been vaping the coil that came installed with your tank. Everything’s great, but you’ve noticed a drop in flavor and vapor production and you’ve decided it’s time to change the coil.

HOW LONG SHOULD A COIL LAST?

It’s impossible to say exactly how long a coil will last before you need to clean it (more on this later!) or replace it. It depends on how you vape, what type of e-juice you’re vaping and what wattage you vape at.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY COIL NEEDS REPLACING?

If you’re asking yourself this question, you probably don’t need to change your coil just yet. It’s usually pretty obvious when the coil needs replacing, for one of several reasons:

HOW CAN I MAKE MY COIL LAST LONGER?

So now you know how to prime a coil and what to look out for when it might be time to change your coil… But is there anything you can do to make your coil last longer?…

HOW TO CLEAN A COIL

Aegis GeekVape Z50 Review: What Is It Like to Vape On?

The GeekVape Z50 is a starter kit for people who like lower wattage box mods. It only powers to 50 watts, so the vapor is not going to be as warm as the higher wattage devices. Even so, the flavor is very good because of the KA1 mesh coils.

Internal Building Quality and Design

The build and design quality of the GeekVape Z50 box mod and tank are very good. There are no issues with rattling, sticky buttons, or whistling airflow holes.

Battery Life and Performance

The vape uses a built-in 2000 mah battery, which is pretty good when considering that this is a 50 watt box mod. The battery should last most of the day or more, and it takes an hour to charge. The optimal wattage level for battery longevity is 30 to 40 watts.

The GeekVape Zeus Nano Tank

This Z Nano tank is pretty good. People are going to like the drip tip and the fill ports the most. The drip tip is 510 and removable, and the fill ports are large, so there should be no trouble with getting the nozzle into them. The fill ports are located at the top, not the bottom, which is another big pro.

Airflow

Not only are the fill ports up top, but so is the airflow. There are two holes located beneath the top cap for top-to-bottom airflow.

GeekVape Z50 Coils

The starter kit comes with 0.4 and 0.6 ohm KA1 mesh coils rated for 15 to 25 watts and 25 to 33 watts, respectively. These coils are very good at sucking every bit of flavor out of the juices.

How to Use the GeekVape Z50 Box Mod and Tank?

Prime the coils to ensure they do not dry hit by placing two or three drops of liquid into them.

What is coil in vape?

The coil is a component inside the atomizer. But as we know, the world of vape lingo is vast and when you say coils, we know what you mean. If your vape mod is the body, atomizer heads are the heart, a fundamental part of your vaping experience.

What are atomizer coils made of?

Most atomizer coils are made from Nichrome or Kanthal. But there are different wire types that some vapers use. Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel are also available, but less popular. These tend to be used for temperature control vaping and aren’t suited to all e-cigs. But that is for another time.

How does an atomizer head work?

An atomizer head converts energy from the e-cig battery and heats the coil inside, this then vaporises e-liquid that is soaked into the wicking material, which is then inhaled by you.

What is the resistance of an atomizer?

Well atomizer heads have an electrical resistance value measured in ohms (Ω). Depending on the amount of electrical resistance will depend on what ‘ohm’ your atomizer head is. Atomizer heads generally fall into two categories. High and low resistance.

Do vapers use e-liquid?

Some vapers prefer an atomizer head that lasts a long time, doesn’t use much e-liquid through the day and they don’t look for larger clouds of vapour. Other vapers are satisfied exhaling large clouds of vapour and are happy topping up with juice more frequently. The best thing to do is experiment.

Hey everyone I've been rebuilding for about two years now and I feel quite like a novice asking this. Today I built my coil extremely well, better than I ever have before. I noticed it had a blue color/hue to it. Maybe I've just never noticed this before but what does this coloration mean?

whiteowl84 Unresolved Status ECF Veteran

Kanthal, n80 and SS will all turn blue. It's what happens when you heat metal. Start cleaning them with soap and a toothbrush then rinse and you'll get much better color.

It was kanthal that came straight from the roll. I did heat it and pinch with ceramic tweezers like I usually do. I had no idea about dirty kanthal especially when it was a new coil :s

whiteowl84 Unresolved Status ECF Veteran

Dirty kanthal? Touching the wire leaves oil on it. Oils and other contaminants ruin the color.

I'll try cleaning it from now on. Honestly I never touch it until I make a coil and usually wash my hands before. I think there was some other colors in with the blue but I saw mostly blue. I've really never noticed colors before. Thanks for the advice whiteowl

whiteowl84 Unresolved Status ECF Veteran

Kanthal will turn blue to green as it gets hotter and every color between them. If you aren't going for a color shot you don't need to clean them. Anything on the surface will burn off anyway and it's not going to affect the vape .

Kiss those flavors goodbye folks

there is zero chance of flavors being ok'd with their idiotic logic....

Flavor Review

  • Based on the description, I was having second thoughts on buying this. I didn’t like the idea of having candy flavored e-juice because I don’t want my hits to be too sweet. I just did not like the thought of dealing too much sugar mixed with subtle throat hits. Surprisingly, the Vape the Rainbow is very refreshing. The name itself is captivating enough but wait till you try inhaling an…

Vapor Review

  • Since this one has a higher content for Vegetable Glycerin (VG), the consistency is a bit thick. Of course, cloud production is best. You get thick and dense clouds that linger. The scent even lingers along with it. It definitely smells sweet and candy-like. Another important thing that I highly consider is how it deals with my coils. This baby is not a coil killer at all. At 80VG, it doesn’t gun…
