I've had an Aspire Nautilus for about a month now with no problems until today. Cartomizer is 1300mAh 3.3-4.8v. The battery is fully charged as indicated by the green light on the charger. When holding just the cartomizer I can press the button and it will light up blue as if all is well.

What you are calling the cartomizer is actually an eGo battery. A cartomizer is an atomizer in a tube packed with cotton or synthetic fiber. It sounds like you have a short in either the 510 connection on the battery or in the Nautilus.
