Here are a few things to try to resolve this issue:
  1. Make sure the batteries are charging them properly by putting them in a separate charger.
  2. If using an RDA/RTA, check and see if the coil is touching the cap or deck.
  3. See if there are any breaks in the coil.
  4. Ensure that the coil is fully screwed into the tank.

How to fix a short circuit on a vape?

The only solution is (possibly 1st to wait for some time) to charge it into electicity. Now it suddenly starts to work (the light always, the vaporizer not always), and sometimes it's for a few smokes, sometimes for longer, but ussualy the short circuit will happens again.

Why does my vape MoD say “atomizer short”?

When your vape mod tells you that it has a short circuit, it means that something is critically wrong with the electrical circuit connecting the battery in your vaping device to the atomizer coil. You might get the “Atomizer Short” message, for instance, if unexpected metal-on-metal contact occurs inside your tank.

What does it mean when my vape says shorted?

If your vape flashes up an error message saying shorted or something similar, it is telling you that there is an electrical short occurring. When an electrical short happens the built-in protection circuit on a regulated MOD will kick in, and this will stop your e-cigarette from working. This indicates...

How to clean 510 connector?

To clean out the 510 connector you can follow this simple guide. Remove the tank from the battery. Use a dry cotton bud or tissue to remove dirt or liquid. Make sure that you give the bottom of the tank a good wipe also before screwing back onto the battery.

Why does my 510 short?

A short can also happen because of a dirty 510 connector, e-liquid leakage or dust can make its way into the connector, this may cause a weak or dirty connection between the coil and the battery causing problems like a shorted error message.

What does it mean when a vape mod says it has a short circuit?

When your vape mod tells you that it has a short circuit, it means that something is critically wrong with the electrical circuit connecting the battery in your vaping device to the atomizer coil. You might get the “Atomizer Short” message, for instance, if unexpected metal-on-metal contact occurs inside your tank. For example, maybe the coil in your tank is cross-threaded, so the coil is seated a little higher in the tank’s base than it should be, and that’s causing the tank’s chimney to touch the heating wire inside the coil. A manufacturing defect in the coil can also cause a short circuit.

What does it mean when a vape mod says check atomizer?

The message “Check Atomizer” means that your vape mod isn’t detecting the connected atomizer coil at all. That may mean that the tank isn’t assembled correctly, that the tank doesn’t have a firm connection with the mod or that the coil itself has a problem. Use these steps to troubleshoot a “Check Atomizer” error.

What does it mean when a vape mod says "Time Out"?

The message “Time Out” means that the length of your puff has exceeded what your vape mod’s puff timer will allow. Most vaping devices have built-in puff timers that help to prevent overheating. Suppose, for instance, that you’re carrying your vape mod in your pocket, and you’ve forgotten to lock it. You inadvertently push and hold the mod’s fire button when you sit down. Without a puff timer, that’s a potentially dangerous situation. With a puff timer, though, the device automatically cuts off, so its temperature stays in a safe range.

What does it mean when your battery is low?

The message “Low Battery” or “Low Power” simply means that you need to charge your device’s battery. The conditions under which your device will display this message depend on the device’s firmware. In some cases, you’ll see the message when the battery’s remaining charge is too low for the device to operate at all. In other cases, the message simply means that the battery’s charge is too low for the device to operate at the wattage you’ve set. In that case, lowering the wattage may allow you to continue vaping for a little longer before charging the battery. Otherwise, though, you’ll need to charge the battery before you resume vaping.

did you check for some kind of leakage from the tank? IDK if its the solution but might be...

Sounds more like a power problem like a connection to the batteries because of not even a light. A coil will not normally make a MOD not power on and give a check atomizer message.

Not to sound condescendng, but did you press the power button 5 times quickly? It's possible it's not on or maybe you're turning it on and off without realizing it.

See what the light does when you press the fire button without a tank on.

Light flashing 5 times indicates a short, could be caused by a bad head, too low of a resistance, dirty 510 connection, outside chance the pin in the power device ’s 510 has been depressed by over tightening the delivery device (tank).
