SMOK Veneno: Poisonous Look
So I, more or less, already gave you an inkling of what I thought about the first time I saw the SMOK Veneno 225W. But I’ll keep an open mind and take you through the basics, and also try to be more objective.
The 225 Watts and Lower: Switching the Wattage
Even more evidence of the SMOK Veneno’s questionable existence is its conspicuous lack of customary vaping outputs, like Bypass mode and TCR mode. But for this decision, I must applaud the good people at SMOKTech.
Vaping Could Be Better?
I haven’t said much about the TFV8 Big Baby tank in this review only because I’ve used it a countless amount of times with different SMOK devices. I love the Q2 quadruple coil; it works wonderfully, and the same goes for the Big Baby.
The SMOK Veneno 225W and the Competitors
I wasn’t going to make the same mistake that I usually make and compare the SMOK Veneno to another SMOK device, so I decided to pick up an old favorite and see how it stands up to this new entry from SMOK, the Joyetech Cuboid Pro.
Pros & Cons
The SMOK Veneno didn’t come overloaded. Apart from the cavalcade of lights that make you feel like you are walking into a Third World house of ill repute, the SMOK Veneno is still a pretty tight package and lent itself to easy portability.
Like It Or Not?
I have to say, wrapping up this review, I was struck by a little admiration for the SMOK Veneno. A few reviews back, I lambasted dull, colorless, box mods that took themselves too seriously. And now, here is the antidote to all that seriousness, and I’m still not happy with it.

This mod is a dual 18650 battery mod with an output of up to 225 Watts. The kit comes with the TFV8 Baby tank which is a really good tank to be paired with the mod. So how does it perform?
Is Smok Veneno a good mod?
The Smok Veneno kit is another great example of a quality mod from SMOK, your either going to love the whole light display or hate it, but as it’s completely customizable you can adjust it to your liking. The performance is everything we would expect from SMOK, but we would have liked to have seem some more features, like those that Council of Vapor introduced on the COV Xion mod.

The coils—which can come in pods, cartridges, or little metal housings—usually cost in the $1-5 range per. They need to be replaced about once a week (but sometimes longer in between).
Can you match a vape with another vape?
By and large, even the most advanced features of any vape can be matched by another at a much lower cost. If you are tempted to spend more than the typical price ranges for a certain type of device, do it because you simply want the device.
Do disposable vapes come with a monthly cost?
Disposable vapes and prefilled pods will come with a very low-cost upfront, but will probably raise the monthly costs depending on consumption. But if you don’t want separate purchases and don’t wish to go through trial and error, they are an excellent and very practical solution—and by far the easiest way to vape.
