What type of charge is good for the Hg2?
Aug 17, 2015 · My recommendation is to move up, unless one has a lot of unused VTC5A’s stocked, the LG HG2 is NOT for 100W+ vaping. However, it does perform quite well for those who still runs the (even older than the HG2) Kangertech Subtank Mini, one can vape all day long, even with the 0.5ohm coil provided, or use the RBA.
When did the LG Hg2 battery come out?
Aug 31, 2015 · But the HG2 seems to absolutely require it or you will experience a decrease in capacity and cycle life almost immediately. When handled and used per the data sheet recommendations the HG2 is my preferred battery for regulated devices at 60W per cell or below.

3,000 milliamp hours is the highest capacity ever for a true high-drain (20A+) cell. If you are interested in maximizing both amperage and capacity you should consider this cell because it doesn't get better at the moment.
Visual Inspection & Basic Measurements
Here is the top-cap, or positive terminal of the HG2. Note there are four top-cap connection points on LG 18650 batteries.
Discharging the LG HG2
Accounting for the test's environmental temperature. This is five points off an ideal temperature (LG Chem's test opted for 25 degrees C), but at this difference the efficiency loss is negligible and I will go ahead.

Conclusion
In the beginning I claimed the HG2 may be the best high-drain battery available right now. Unfortunately the cell I tested does not quite meet its mark at 3000mAh. It however does clock in at 2960mAh.

PSA: Charging your internal batteries
Ive seen alot of posts and comments lately about charging internal batteries on mods.
I'm a dumb noob. Please help me out with my first RTA
I'll try to keep this short for you guys. I've had an Aegis Boost for a while, but I'm sick of spending money on coil packs and would like to try making my own. So I did what I thought was a decent amount of research and bought a Dovpo Blotto and an Innokin MVP5 and a basic vape tool kit.
Any tips, no matter what I put it always reads at 1ohm on the drag x

Your charger is 100% safe, period. There's really no danger at all anymore of using the built in charging of new regulated mods these days, especially single battery mods like the VTC Mini. For mods with 2 or more batteries an external charger is better but even that is mainly just so it chargers the batteries evenly and also much faster.

Maximum voltage of a fully charged battery is 4.2 volts. 3.7 volts is considered the "mean" voltage.

I really need some proof that this is dangerous on newer single battery mods. This stuff is repeated here and I have no idea why. Mods with built in batteries have no other option but to charge through USB. Why is everyone so scared of charging other mods the same way?

I've been charging my batteries with an Opus charger for years, at 2 amps. No danger.
