What coils come with the Subox mini?
The coils that come with the SUBOX/ KBOX Mini are OCC (Organic Cotton Coils) and a rebuildable deck (RBA) for the advanced users. We will be posting the “How to rebuild Kanger Box Mod Coils” next.
How to use OCC coil?
You want to start by soaking the OCC coil in both exposed air holes to allow ejuice to completely soak into the cotton. Take an ejuice dropper to drop a single drip of ejuice in both holes, one at a time, letting each single drop completely soaking in before another drop is made. Once you have multiple drips on both sides of the OCC coil, you want to make sure the ejuice is completely soaked into the cotton before the next step.
How much ejuice to soak a cotton tank?
What you want to do is take one drop at a time on the edge of the center tube to soak the cotton. You will only need about 2-3 drops of ejuice to completely soak the center cotton.
Does the Kbox mini come with a plastic sleeve?
After you have un-boxed the Kangertech SUBOX/ KBOX Mini , it will come already assembled with a plastic sleeve around it for protection against scratches. Remove the plastic sleeve from the housing and unscrew the Subtank Mini from the KBOX housing unit. You can remove the Subtank by twisting counter clockwise.

Cheaply made juices, very sweet juices, and very dark juices will gum up a coil quickly, and diminish the flavor. Upping the Watts will help some, but is not a cure. The cotton is getting dark, probably not really burnt, due to the charring-effect of the juice on the coil...

I was kind of vague in my answer. They LOOK extremely dirty after 3 days. It is worse than any I have ever seen. I ran them for a week or so and the flavor became muted and I changed it. (I was running about 50 ml through a coil) I have never had one fail, or get really bad, just less flavor, possibly less than my Nautilus.

I vape with a Kanger Subtank Mini / 50watt iStick combo and my occ coils easily last me 3 to 4 weeks each. I'm very impressed with them. I used the Kanger enclosed dual coils, which were an improvement over the single coils, and lasted about 6 days. These coils are another reason I love my Kanger Subtank; I'm saving lots of money on coils.

I should add that I'm using a .5 ohm coil at 24.1w while vaping this tank of The Virus with Custards Last Stand added. Honestly, I've not had a coil become bad, yet, but do notice that they swell where the coil screws in...I had the end break off of one.
