A dual coil RTA will not double the reading it will HALVE the reading. Do not do that. That would be dangerous. Need to know more about your current build to try to help, but I am in agreement that you may need a higher resistance coil, however you achieve it.

Your coils appear to be ultra low resistance pulling high wattage that have a lot of mass and will retain heat. You need lots of air flow to temper all that heat. Be safe with your KNOWN resistance and your battery's KNOWN safe CDR.
