Most vaporizers intended for use with wax will have a range that starts around 315 °F. The temps for dabs concentrates are higher than for regular dry herbs. This is because wax won't vaporize until it approaches about 315 degrees. A good range for vaping concentrates is generally 315 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.Jun 11, 2019

For pre-filled oil cartridges, set your pen to 3.3V

Prefilled 510 thread cartridges require lower temperatures because the material is thinner and easier to heat. We recommend starting at the lowest voltage, 3.3V, and moving up to 3.8V if it’s not giving you enough of a hit. Some oils have a thicker consistency, so just turn the dial incrementally until you get the desired hit.

For dabs (wax), set your pen between 4.0V-4.3V

Wax is typically thick, so it will take more heat to get it going. Once you load the dab in your atomizer or attachment , set the voltage at 4.0V. Take a hit and expect a big cloud with crystal clear terpene flavors.

That's a low watt vape ,shouldn't happen. Sounds like a possible return. Welcome to the forum and good call signing up and asking.

I briefly had that setup but gave it away to a new vaper. I will say, the tank is small so depending on the coil you use, it may heat up. I don't know if that amount of heat is normal though... It is a small tank, so if it's the tank warming up I might be less concerned, but maybe still concerned.
