Does the smok osub plus 80W get the attention it deserves?

I was a big fan of the SMOK OSUB Plus 80W, and I always believed that it didn’t really get the attention it deserved from the vaping community. It was ergonomic, easy to use, had plenty of power under the hood and a built-in battery, features which made it a very versatile vaping device.

What is the best Smok vape to buy?

SMOK RPM 4 The SMOK RPM 4 is the evolved form of the RPM 40, SMOK’s previous cubic pod vape that blew everyone away last year. The RPM 4 showcases a serious increase in the elegance of the design, with the relatively lightweight unit fitting comfortably in the hand and pocket, making it a great choice for an on-the-go sub-ohm vape.

Is the new osub 80W baby kit any good?

While I can’t say that I was overly impressed with the new OSUB 80W Baby kit, I can see why SMOK thought it would be a good idea to basically relaunch last year’s OSUB Plus in a much smaller size. You basically get all the great features and performance of the original device, but in a package that can easily be stored in the smallest jeans pocket.

What is the smok Novo 4 vape?

The SMOK Novo 4 is the newest version of SMOK’s uber-compact Novo pod vape, a reworking of the classic Nord design that puts comfort and portability at the very forefront of the design ethos.

What is the battery capacity of the SMOK OSUB?

One of the major improvements that the OSUB Plus brings over the original SMOK OSUB is the larger battery capacity – 3300 mAh, which is about as good as it gets for a non-removable battery device of this size. For example, the SMOK R80, another reliable device aimed at intermediate vapers, has a 4000mAh capacity but is also a good 15mm taller and 20mm wider than the OSUB Plus. So if you’re looking for a decent compromise between size and battery life, the OSUB Plus might be the mod for you.

What is included in the Smok OSUB Plus starter kit?

The SMOK OSUB Plus starter kit includes the 80W OSUB plus mod, a Brit Beast tank, two V8 Baby-Q2 dual-coil heads (0.4Ω), a replacement glass tube for the tank, a USB charging/updating cable, a bag of spare o-rings and a user manual. It basically has everything you need to start vaping, minus the e-liquid. As someone who has accidentally cracked several tanks, I particularly like the inclusion of a spare glass tube, and I think this is a good value-for-money package overall.

OSUB Plus Kit Intro

SMOK just keeps on producing more kits. Not everything this year has been stellar, but they nailed it with this one. It’s priced at ~$65 which is fair for what you get, but that is based on the market right now.

OSUB Plus

The OSUB Plus has 80 watts of power, TC settings for Ni, Ti, and SS with adjustable TCR, and a non-removable 3300 mAh battery. The temp range is 200F-600F (100C-315C). There are also a heat settings for soft, min, max, hard or normal. Watts are adjusted in .1- or 1-watt increments, either by clicking the firing bar once (.1) or holding it (1 watt).

Brit Beast tank

The Brit Beast is a flavor and vapor producing machine! It is a top-fill tank with 2 mL of juice capacity and a V-shaped drip tip. The tank isn’t the most wide open for max air, but it’s comparable to the Baby Beast. The Brit Beast has two 1.5 mm x 12 mm air-slots controlled by a removable ring.

Dislikes

Feels like a left-handed mod A bit heavy Need to lock the mod before pocketing Spitty after refill Difficult to refill Can be clumsy to install a new coil

Verdict

This kit performs and looks incredible. I have never considered SMOK products to be such “lookers”, but this mod is different. I would never imagine it only costs $50, and that includes the tank! Great value.

Manufacturing Quality

The manufacturing quality for the OSUB King is good. If you’re familiar with the other OSUB mods, then you can expect more of the same. The only difference is that this is bigger. Instead of one battery, you get two and the wattage increase that comes with it. The top is also bigger, so 25mm tanks will sit on the top with no overhang.

Flavor Quality

For those of you who have either tried SMOK products or read other reviews, you’re probably sick of hearing about the Big Baby tank. They seem to fit this, the Baby Beast, and the X-Baby in everything.

Power Flexibility

The power flexibility of the OSUB King is good. It has both wattage and temperature control modes. In wattage mode, it can deliver up to 220W. There is temperature control for stainless steel, nickel, and titanium, with a range of 200F to 600F. You can also adjust the wattage up to 220W in the TC modes.

Ease of Use

This is an easy to use kit. Like I said above, there isn’t really much to it. There’s just a small screen, and the menu isn’t all that big or complicated. The tank is also easy to use, and the top-filling design makes it convenient to refill on the go.

Portability

The portability of this is also firmly in what I would consider average for dual 18650 mods. It’s a little shorter than most, but it makes up for that by being a little wider. The dimensions for the mod are approximately 3-3/16″ x 2-1/4″ x 1″. The tank adds a couple of extra inches to the height though.

Where can I buy Smok vapes?

Is Smok a vape brand?

For as long as I can remember, going back almost 10 years, SMOK has been one of the biggest and most visible vape brands operating globally. And in 2021, this trend shows no sign of abating. SMOK makes vape mods, vape tanks, and pod vapes. It has products, usually multiple lines, in every single vape product category.

Is there a change in vapes?

Since around 2019, however, there has been a massive change in the vape market. Vape mods – the big, chunky devices most people used to use – have given away to smaller, more compact AIO pod vapes. And leading the charge of this chain was SMOK; it has produced an inhuman amount of pod vapes between 2019 and today.

Does Smok have a pod?

It exists because SMOK started mixing together vape mod functionality and power inside its pod vapes with its RPM series. And no one can take that away from SMOK. And SMOK’s latest AIO hybrid vape, the SMOK G-PRIV pod, is another example of just how good SMOK can be when it keeps its eye on the end goal.

The OSUB 80W Baby comes in the classic SMOK packaging, a large rectangular cardboard box with a picture of the device on the front, and a short description of the included products, as well as a list of contents and company information, on the back. Inside the box, we have the SMOK OSUB 80W Baby sitting in a styrofoam holder, and under it we have the included SMOK Baby Beast tank, with a pre-installed 0.4Ω coil-head, a spare coil-head, a USB charging cable for the mod, a bag of spare o-rings, a vape band to protect the glass tube of the tank, and a user manual.

What tank does the SMOK 80W Baby come with?

The SMOK OSUB 80W Baby comes with the Chinese company’s most popular tank to date, the TFV8 Baby Beast. They’ve paired this tank up with dozens of their mods over the last year, and I’ve actually talked about it before when I reviewed the awesome SMOK Alien 220W kit.
