Full closed won’t really vape. I usually start full open & slowly tighten it down or restrict the air as I go till I find the balance of cloud density and temperature I’m lookin for. I usually end up around 2/3 open. Increase airflow- cooler draw, less dense cloud, more volume overall. Totally my opinion, but this is what I’ve been noticing.
