I quit smoking and started vaping yesterday
I bought a Nord 2 and installed a 1.4ohm ceramic coil inside. I use 12mg salt nicotine but I feel like it's not enough. What are the benefits of temperature control?
Benefits of Temperature Control Vaping 1 Better Flavor Control: Certain E Juices perform better at different temperatures. For instance: having a lower temperature might bring out the sweetness more. Or, going higher could bring out richer tones. 2 Fewer Dry Hits: Because the maximum temperature is locked, you won’t get anywhere near as many dry hits – the atomizer just can’t get enough power to do it. 3 Increased Coil Life Span: With the temperature locked, you’re not maxing out the coil every time you vape, which means the coil head will last longer. 4 You Use Less Vape Juice: Again, with the temperature locked in, you can find a sweet spot where you get great flavor at lower temperatures (and, therefore, power). Less power means less E Juice burned.

I wish I could vote twice because I use my lemo at 30-35 watts and my dripper at 60-70 when not on a mech. I voted the 30-40 since I vape the lemo more than my dripper, tho.

I'm usually in the 5-10 range. Anything more tastes burnt. I don't know how those 150+ guys can do it.

I use mechs and RDAs exclusively. Most of my builds are at .21 ohm, unless I am doing something unusual or building a deck for 3 or more coils. 3-coil RDAs like my stillare v3 or onslaught are built at .15. With an extra coil, though, more power is needed.

Unfortunately IMO this is a hugely flawed poll as it does not qualify the type of device (s) you are including. For example: I would say I set my watts around 9.5 for my T3Ss, about 12 for a Nautilus, 27 for a Kanger Subtank, and finally roughly 90 on a mech with an atty built at 0.27ohms on a fresh battery.

Going to the higher wattages means burning through a lot of juice, which is why 75 to 100 watts is a good level.

It's done even higher from what I have seen in my area, especially the younger cloudz braz crowd out in my neck of the woods. They are so hot on their vapes they can barely fire 1 to 1.5seconds on attys like the Mason 40mm with 4s LiPo box mods /w PWM potentiometers.

Not I. 15 Watts on a 1.0 Ohm coil; But in TC on a 0.15 coil I will see it spike past 70 (never bothered to looked it in the escribe device monitor). So if you do a 0.08 in TC you'd probably see above 140. Helpful for that pre-heat punch.

I don't; but in one of those Luddites who only uses single 18650 mechanical mods. I don't even own a regulated mod, except for a couple V2 Provaris, which I haven't used in probably 3 years.

I guess it really depends on your vape style. Sure, if I'm tootling at 10 to 15W, my single battery mods are fine all day. If I occasionally pull out some of my other tanks like a Crius or Limitless, I am going to be up around 35-50W.

I didn't really mean has anyone "ever" vaped at 200 watts or more, as I know they have. I was more wondering if anyone vapes at that power as their regular day to day vape.
Tommy-Chi Ultra Member ECF Veteran
I was just wondering, with all these 200 watt and now even 300 watt devices, does anyone really vape at that power? My guess is that it's just a marketing game, that, and longer vape times.

No thanks, been somewhere between 25-35 and SOMETIMES 40W on my subtanks for quite a while now. I seriously don't understand how going higher isn't burning their juice.
