A vape tank is always most reliable if there’s enough e-liquid in it to cover the atomizer coil’s wick holes. That’s especially true if you’re not going to use your device for several hours . When you store your device on its side, some of the coil’s wick holes will be exposed to air. Over time, the tank’s internal vacuum will break, and the tank will begin to leak. Keep your vaping device upright as much as possible.

Why is my vape tank leaking?

The most common reasons for a leaking vape all involve the assembly and condition of the tank. To troubleshoot the leak, begin by fully disassembling your tank and checking all of the components. A vape tank has several silicone or rubber o-rings that help to seal gaps and maintain the tank’s internal vacuum. If an o-ring is stretched or torn, the tank will fail to maintain its seal, and a leak will result. If you check your tank’s original box, you’ll most likely find a bag of replacement o-rings. Replace any o-rings that show signs of damage.

What is the difference between VG and PG in e-liquid?

Most e-liquids contain both VG and PG, because those two liquids have different properties, adjusting their ratio in an e-liquid can change that e-liquid’s properties. A high-PG e-liquid, on the other hand, is thin and can flow efficiently through the clearomizer of a tiny e- cigarette without producing dry hits.

Can you store a vape tank on its side?

If you store your tank on its side, some of the atomizer’s wick openings will not be submerged in e-liquid. In that case, air can enter the tank and break the vacuum that helps to keep the e-liquid in its place. If you find your vape in a pool of e-liquid after leaving it on its side overnight, you probably have a tank that can only hold e-liquid reliably if it’s kept upright.

Sure it seems shady, but that also shouldn't surprise you one bit. VUSE is made by R.J. Reynolds; what exactly do you expect?

Breezy Dawn Super Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

That Big Tobacco did something unscrupulous should surprise no one, ever.

Nothing here surprises me. In a way we 'do it to ourselves' believing that anything coming from these brands would ever be anything different than lies, false claims, fake nicotine yields, extortionate prices, dud refills and .. well the list is endless.

Sorry if this is a bit of a thread necro. Those issues are what made me give up my Vuse setup. Carts that used to last most the day got down to as low as 2-3 hours and I wasn't using them that heavily.
