After I take about 4-5 puffs, the atomizer gets hot to the touch. Is this normal? Should I be taking longer intervals between puffs?

what type of device are you using? What is the resistance of your atty? Is it a variable voltage device ... what it sounds like is you're putting too many watts through it, but this cannot be determined without knowing the volts your device is putting out and the ohms of your atty.

Latif77 Senior Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

Unfortunately Im not familiar with the etank. But i can say that I tend to use the watts of a 3.7v with a LR atty (1.5ohm) as my baseline and then play around that wattage to find what I like.

LPacker79 Super Member ECF Veteran

My very first kit was the Vapor King eTank. I only used it for two weeks, but I did notice the atty getting very hot if used heavily. I made a conscious effort to take 2 or 3 hits and let it cool down for a bit.

GSHARQ Senior Member ECF Veteran

Is there a particular reason why you switched? And which e-cig did you switch to?

LPacker79 Super Member ECF Veteran

I got a Riva 1100 (better battery life), and was planning on using the VK as a backup. However, right before the Riva got delivered my battery charger for the VK just died. Wouldn't charge at all. Then I started getting into mods .

r77r7r ECF Guru ECF Veteran

I started on a Riva w/ atomizers and remember getting frustrated at them interfering w/ my vaping when I needed to vape heavy to get off the ciggies.
