why does my aegis vape trick

by Lucy Weissnat Published 2 years ago Updated 1 year ago

The cause of vape spitback is because e-juice is pooled up on the coil and is cooking, rather than being vaporised as it should be. This flooding can be caused by a number of factors such as over saturating your coil and using the wrong vaping technique for your device (ie trying to do direct to lung using mouth to lung kit).

I do not know how many of you have bought or tried the Geek Vape Aegis the indestructible mod. I did, and yes as far as being indestructible I have found it very much so. However, it it in need of urgent firmware upgrade as its V1 firmware proved to be unsafe. The Upgrade is available on Geek Vapes website.

The absence of the resistance lock is a major problem. I get the new/old atomizer question dozens of times per day without even taking my addy off. It is very annoying! If the resistance changes, and it will when fired, it asks me the same question and doesn't let me fire it unless i select new or old. Locking the resistance would prevent this.

Dropmyload Super Member Verified Member ECF Veteran

I am thinking of getting one. I can see on the website resistance lock has been added. Any update from users?

EODPaul Senior Member ECF Veteran

The update works. Resistance lock, the wattage stays locked even after power off and on, the 'New coil?' prompt is improved. I don't see any improvement in battery life, but it's no worse either. I have 2 of these now, and they've officially replaced my Yihi SX Q mini as my favourite mods .

stols001 Moved On ECF Veteran

I would do the upgrade. You want to set the resistance when your coil is cold. If you've been vaping it and then remove it too quickly, your resistance will be incorrect as most wires read their resistance differently when they are hot than when they are cold. So it would be a good idea, and make things more hassle free.

Knut arne Full Member

Just got one too. The screws for the update port, what kind of screws are they? Hex or torx ? Is it mm or inches size?

Knut arne Full Member

Finally got some torx, it seems like T 6,5 would be a perfect fit, t6 is a little loose and t 7 is too big. But these i have are low quality torxs and i dont have any 6,5.

Careful not to over-prime the coil

Priming your new coil is important to avoid dry hits. However, if you want to avoid vape spit, then you need to make sure you don’t over saturate the chamber. This can cause a flood of eliquid and spit back as a result.

Try a thicker e-liquid

If you are using a big cloud kit and a high PG eliquid then you will be more likely to flood the atomiser. This is because PG is much thinner than VG. VG is thicker and therefore slows down the wicking. Shop high VG eliquids >

Then create a block in the middle of your mouth, either with your lips or tongue and simultaneously exhale the smoke through your nose and corners of your mouth.

The Tornado

If you want to show off The Tornado to your friends, you need to find some flat surface to accompany you – it may be a table, countertop, or a big book. As usual, you have to start with a long drag from your vaping device. Hold the smoke in, put your face close to the chosen surface, and then slowly exhale the vapor onto it.
