If my math is correct, with 3.8v going through 2.1ohm you're running 6.88 watts though the coil. I've haven't had too many issues with BDC's with my sweeter juices at that rating. If it's getting hot when you're vaping I'd say maybe let a bit of time pass between so they can cool down.

Welcome to ECF! Darker juices seem to tear coils apart quickly as they seem a tad more thicker, in some cases like molasses type. I clean my coil every 3 days. It seems to be the right amount for me with the juices I vape. I can keep a coil kicking from 2-4 weeks. Unless I get a dud. This will happen from time to time.

yeah.. "chain vaping" does not help... at all. It doesnt give things time to cool off properly, so your juice hits that heat and carmelizes to the coil.

On top of that there were some problems a while back with Aspire head quality as well as Kanger. If you could get two days out of one you were doing well. That's all been fixed now, but there may still be some bad heads in the supply chain. From sometime around April until well into June I couldn't find a good coil head.

I haven't used a clearomizer in over a year. Basically because they mute flavors and are inconsistant. You really can't expect a clearomizer to work as well as other juice attachments. They use tiny coils and tiny wicks of silica; it doesn't take long to clog the coils or wicks, especially with certain flavors.

I don't often disagree with Baditude, but I like clearos. I can't rebuild, and I found cartos to be fussy and annoying. That said, other than quality control problems, the liquid you use makes the biggest difference. I clean the coils about every other fill, and with most of the flavors I use can get three weeks or more from a coil.
