This is probly a stupid answer but: don't put the ring on the glass, put it on the other part and then put the glass down on it. And use a little juice for your "glue" it may make the ring stick... Best I've got, hope it helps.

Well I'm glad BOTH your problems are "fixed." LOL. I've done stuff like that. Yes, there are many 0 rings in tanks that can shift around and even become deformed, your tank should've (probably) come with spare O-rings and sometimes more than one set.

I have owned horses in my youth, and yeah, I have stolen my fair share of cigarettes (usually in view of the person though). Then I had a kid. Horses and a kid are unsustainable in my opinion.... I am now too old and poor to consider horses, although I still ride from time to time. LOL.

Oh my god I was trying to add the glass straight on without the atomiser. I thought the o ring was the reason it wouldn't screw. Fixed!!!

If you’re not getting the life from your o-rings that you should, consider the following common reasons for O-ring failure. Keep in mind that most o-rings fail due to a combination of causes. This is not meant to be a complete troubleshooting guide, as the causes of seal failure are often complex. 1. Compression Set.

What happens when the pressure drops on an O-ring?

When the system pressure drops, the trapped gas expands to match the external pressure, causing surface cracks and blisters as the gas escapes.

What is the damage to the O-ring?

This causes physical damage called “nibbling”. The edges of the O-ring on the low pressure side will have a chipped, chewed or frilly appearance. Extrusion and nibbling usually occurs in dynamic applications like hydraulic rods and piston seals.

What is abrasion on an O-ring?

Abrasion occurs when there is repetitive contact between the O-ring surface and the housing. The excessive friction wears down the sliding contact faces of the O-ring, resulting in wear lines or even deep scratches and breaks. The surface may look dull or glazed, and one side of the O-ring will be worn flat.

What happens when an O-ring is degraded?

Many chemicals will react with certain O-ring materials. Degradation occurs when the O-ring material is unable to withstand attack from a chemical it’s exposed to. Elevated temperatures, excessive stretch or compression, and/or mechanical stresses can all accelerate chemical attack.

Why does my seal crack?

It can also occur due to excessive temperature cycling. The seal material hardens and oxidation causes the seal to crack.

Vaping Gives Me a Sore Throat

It’s a common complaint from vapers, especially ones new to vaping – the feeling of a sore throat and dry mouth after taking a puff. If you overfill, the liquid will seep into other areas of the tank and seep out. You shouldn't fill your tank all the way up, either. How strong are e-cigarette tanks?

E-cigarette tanks are pretty strong, but they aren't invincible. They are mostly made of glass, which means there is always a chance they could get broken or cracked. Most vapers use their e-cigarettes all day long, meaning the device journeys from car to the office and back home again. They might get shoved in a pocket or tossed on a desk. So it's no wonder that damage happens to the tank occasionally. If you start to experience leaks, hold your vape up to a light and examine the tank closely. The light will make it easier to see hairline cracks or chips in the edges that could be causing the leaks. If you see any signs of damage, order a replacement tank right away (and consider investing in a carrying case for your vape!).

Where is the liquid in a vape?
