If you're playing side bets, focus on your own hand instead of someone else's. (Rant)
People who do not play side bets do not need a constant reminder that "you could have won 5,000 dollars if you had played the side bet!" People choose if they want to play side bets for their own reasons.
I won at a machine at a bar in Wisconsin
I’m at a machine in Wisconsin and I’m visiting from out of town. I just won $100 and the bar said I have to wait a week to cash the receipt..... is this illegal? It seems like it would be illegal because I’m visiting and can’t win either way? I’m about to call the authorities :)

Do I have to tip the dealer if I'm losing...?I was playing in Vegas for about 2-3 hours at the Bellagio with one other guy. Both of us were done probably down over $1,000 at the $25 table. Other guy was playing side bets as well as the main hand, while I only played the main hand without the side bet....
As a poor person
Do you play for fun or expect to make money? 50 goes away very quick especially 5$ min online blackjack.. it is fun but I don’t live near a casino and the dealer pulls more 20’s than anything I’ve ever seen. Should I just give up and find something else to do?
Card counting with non-counting friends
If I were to count cards at a casino, but I go with 2 or 3 friends who are just there to gamble and don’t even use basic strategy, would the pit bosses be less likely to kick me out because the casino is still +EV on my whole group?

I was at the Gold Coast playing $15 DD in Vegas yesterday and I got backed off for the first time, specifically as soon as I started ramping my bets up.

How is it possible to play blackjack unrated when casinos require you to show ID if you buy in for more than 3000-5000 dollars?
Casinos usually would require you to show ID when you buy in for over 3000-5000 dollars, otherwise they would ask you to leave.
