What ohm coil does the Kanger subtank use?

 · For your 1.2 Ohm @ 12W... that's not bad, and probably the limitation of the juice. I run my RTA's between 11W and 18W, depending on the juice, and my lowest builds are 1.3 Ohm, up to 1.6 Ohm. I'm running a 1.3 Ohm coil right now …

Do sub ohm vape tanks need more than 80W?

 · I tend to vape around 12 ~ 15 Watts in Genesis style RBA's. And about 10 ~ 13.5 Watts in a Kanger Subtank Mini. Everyone has their own Preferences. I tend to like Lower Watts vs Higher Watts for the type of builds that I make.

How do I calculate the voltage of a vape cartridge?

It’s not about watts, it’s about volts. Yes, if your standard vape cartridge has about 1.2 ohms of resistance, it will take about 7 watts to produce 3.7 volts. But that’s really what you want to …

How many ohms does sub-ohming vape have?

Sub-ohming takes this further by vaping at a resistance of less than 1 ohm.

What is variable wattage?

A variable wattage device is different. Rather than telling the device how much power you want to flow through your atomiser, you tell it how much power (wattage) you want it to output.

How to get the perfect vape experience?

After all, with most entry-level vape kits, all you need to do is: Check what wattage you can use with the coil in your device. Adjust your wattage and airflow until you get the vapour, flavour and throat hit you need. Some people want to know more to get the perfect vaping experience.

How to get a vapour hit?

At its simplest level, it’s simply a matter of adjusting the voltage or wattage of the battery until you get the vapour, flavour and throat hit you desire. You can also experiment with using different resistance coils and combining them with different voltages/wattages.

What coils are used for vaping?

Coils below 1 ohm are common, and coils with a resistance of 0.8 ohms are often used for Mouth-to-Lung vaping. Even lower resistance coils, such as 0.15 coils, are often used for cloud vaping. Originally, sub-ohm vaping was reserved for experienced vapers who want to push the boundaries with rebuildable coils.

Why do vapes burn out faster?

You will need to increase the voltage to increase the wattage and get a better vape. Because lower resistance coils use more wattage, they tend to generate more heat. This means they often burn out quicker than a higher resistance coil would.

What is the difference between variable voltage and variable wattage?

The difference between variable voltage and variable wattage is a bit like the difference between an automatic and a manual car. With a variable voltage device, you manually control the amount of power (voltage) going through your device.

How does wattage affect vaping?

So as you can see that as either the battery Voltage changes or the Resistance of the atomizer coil changes, the wattage consequently will also change. So how does this affect your vape? Well, when Wattage is increased, either by increasing the Voltage that the Atomizer Coil receives or by decreasing the Ohms (resistance) of an Atomizer Coil, the outcome will be more vapor, more flavor and also warmer vapor.

Does less airflow make vapor hotter?

Less airflow creates hotter vapor and more airflow cools the vapor. There is no right and wrong way to do this, so you’ll just have to experiment and see what you prefer. So let’s dig a bit deeper and look at what a watt is and how it actually affects your vape.

Can you vape at watts?

It is important to note, however, that you can’t vape at just any watts.

Cheaply made juices, very sweet juices, and very dark juices will gum up a coil quickly, and diminish the flavor. Upping the Watts will help some, but is not a cure. The cotton is getting dark, probably not really burnt, due to the charring-effect of the juice on the coil...

I was kind of vague in my answer. They LOOK extremely dirty after 3 days. It is worse than any I have ever seen. I ran them for a week or so and the flavor became muted and I changed it. (I was running about 50 ml through a coil) I have never had one fail, or get really bad, just less flavor, possibly less than my Nautilus.

I vape with a Kanger Subtank Mini / 50watt iStick combo and my occ coils easily last me 3 to 4 weeks each. I'm very impressed with them. I used the Kanger enclosed dual coils, which were an improvement over the single coils, and lasted about 6 days. These coils are another reason I love my Kanger Subtank; I'm saving lots of money on coils.

I should add that I'm using a .5 ohm coil at 24.1w while vaping this tank of The Virus with Custards Last Stand added. Honestly, I've not had a coil become bad, yet, but do notice that they swell where the coil screws in...I had the end break off of one.

How to set wattage for juice?

There is no set wattage. The short answer is, Start low and turn it up till it gets where you like it. The ohms can play a part in some circumstances. Without knowing the coil size and airflow design it would be hard to guess. It just be cooking the juice. If your strictly after flavor you might try a little higher ohm load. Mabye a little tighter airflow

How many ohms does a 20W battery have?

^^-- I know the 20W version only would put out the full 20W into about 1.1 ohms. In other words, power output drops when battery voltage has to be boosted. 50W into 1.1 would require even more voltage, or an even lower resistance would be needed to avoid the need for voltage boost. I'm not always willing to look up the detailed specs of a device (or start up Steam Engine) for an internet post, but if this were mine I'd either need to look it up, or realize it may not work if I try it.

How many watts to run a 28 ga?

I'm running 12-13 watts into 28 ga. 1.1 ohms. A twisted 28 ga. 1.1 ohms would be 4 times as much coil so would require 48-56 watts to be equivalent. I ran about 22W into #26 so 4 times that would be 88W. There's an easy solution, use less wraps for lower resistance (needing the battery to boost that voltage less) and to make it a little smaller so it needs less power.

What gauge to use for a 1 ohm coil?

I personally use 28ga for lower 1 ohm builds and use 30ga for mid 1 ohm up to 2 or slightly over. 6 or 7 wraps using 30ga with a 5/64 id should get you right at 1.5 ohm with little to no lag while still being durable enough to hold it's shape and re-wick with micro coils.

How many wraps of 28g is a 3mm?

Shoot for 1.2 ohm around a 3mm which is 11 wraps of 28g. If you want to use 26 aim for .8 11 wraps.

How many ohms can you get with 28ga?

I assume you're referring to a contact aka micro coil, If so then yes you can get 1.5 ohms using 28ga. 10 wraps with a 5/64” id or 8 wraps 3/32" id or 7 wraps 7/64” id should get you close.

How many volts does a coil wire need to heat?

That's got to require at least 7 volts to drive and 4 times the power (6 with #26) as a single 1.2 ohm #28.

How many watts does a vape cartridge need?

It’s not about watts, it’s about volts. Yes, if your standard vape cartridge has about 1.2 ohms of resistance, it will take about 7 watts to produce 3.7 volts. But that’s really what you want to focus on, is making sure you have the correct 3.7 volts, instead of just going by wattage because the resistance between cartridges may change.

What is the lowest volt for concentrate?

I would recommend the lowest the best around 3.1 as higher may cause the concentrate to burn and than you are inhaling the wrong thing. The lighter the burn the better it is in my experience. For strong high people think its better to have high volts but I wouldn’t recommend that.

How to tell if a THC cartridge is bad?

First, they should be thick. When you turn the cartridge upside down, you shouldn’t see immediate movement. In other words, watery equals bad in THC carts. The clearer the better from what I hear…I could be wrong on that though, I’ve had some cartridges that were very dark & vaped very nicely. These were licensed medical dispensary bought carts that I’m speaking of. Second, DO NOT BUY CARTS OFF THE BLACK MARKET, STREETS, INSTAGRAM, ETC! You have absolutely no way of knowing what you’re getting & are you gonna trust a stranger to take your money? Just hoping you get your $1,000 (or whatever you choose to spend) worth of flower & carts. Sure, there are decent sellers out there that are honest & really care but you gotta protect YOU. If that sale fell through? Bye $1,000! It’s not worth it. These illnesses came from one thing: vitamin E acetate tainted counterfeit THC cartridges. Anyone who tells you different is lying.

What to look for when making a cartridge?

There are a couple of things to look for to make this determination. The cartridge itself and the thickness of the liquid. The liquid usually comes at the proper thickness for a cartridge; however, some people make their own and that’s where the thickness may change. You want a liquid that is relatively thin.

Where is the liquid going in a cartridge?

If you look at the base of your cartridge, there are one or two little holes on the inside of the cartridge at the base of the tube that the vapor comes out. That’s where the liquid goes in. If the liquid is too thick, it won’t be able to go through those holes and then you will burn it. As. Continue Reading.

Is it safe to inhale a cartridge if it gets burnt?

Plus its safer for cartridges if the cartridge coil gets burnt than it may clog or that burnt coil residue may also come along inhaling. So be careful.

Can you vape with THC?

The problem isn’t with the THC, but with inhaling the oils that it’s infused into. I would recommend that everyone stop vaping anything with any kind of oil in it. There’s a risk to lung health with inhaling oil droplets that has been known and written about for years. Conventional e-liquids used for vaping, which contain no oil and are water-soluble, haven’t been implicated.

How many watts does a 2 ohm cartridge use?

Given 4.2V, maximum suggested power for a 2 ohm cartridge would be about 8 watts. A 1.6Ω cartridge would come out to about 11 watts.

What wires can be used in variable wattage?

Kanthal, Stainless Steel and Nichrome are the only wires (as of now) that can be used in wattage/variable wattage mode.

What temperature should I smoke thc?

Science says that to get thc smoke with minimal carcinogens, you should keep temperature between 185 and 210 degrees celsius. It's different for nicotine liquids and most of those vary because thoae companies use different chemicals in their products. I used to always have to adjust my vape when I had it on volts instead of temperature. Hope you find what works best for you.

What happens if a box mod doesn't do voltage?

It will deliver unregulated battery power for the closest experience to a mech mod possible. If your box mod doesn't do any of these things, then you will need to calculate the maximum safe wattage.

What wires can be used for temperature control?

Titanium, Ni200 (nickel) and Stainless Steel are the only wires that can be used (as of now) with Temperature Control. Kanthal, Stainless Steel and Nichrome are the only wires (as of now) that can be used in wattage/variable wattage mode.

Does higher vapor give more vapor?

Higher will give more vapor but with a hotter throat hit.

Do prefilled cartridges work with box mods?

Anyhow, I've seen a shop go so far as to say the prefilled cartridges "don't work with box mods" which is poppycock. If you've got a 510 connection, you're golden.
