Ok, it might not be the best dry herb vaporizer on the market. However, it’s one of the most affordable options and yet offers a nearly as good vaping experience as any other. In other words, if you’re unsure whether dry herb vaporizers are for you or not, try the Black Mamba. It will give you the answer without having to break the bank.
How long does it take to heat up Black Mamba?
The first thing that stood out when using Black Mamba was the quick heat up time. It takes only a couple of seconds. Only five heat settings were somewhat off-putting, especially if you want to fine-tune and customize your experience.
Can you charge a 1600mAh battery?
Surprisingly, the 1600mAh battery is pretty powerful, but maybe the little giant needs a lot of power to function. On the flip, the good thing is that you can charge it using a USB charger, which is always a great thing.
Flavor
To start off, the cranberry and blackberry is very noticeable, followed by the requested menthol. I’ve tried this flavor both with menthol and without. Other than the cranberry, blackberry and obvious menthol, I don’t notice a citrus that much – if so, it’s very faint.
Throat Hit
Even at 18mg, I’m not receiving much of a throat hit. It’s pleasantly smooth and I wouldn’t expect anything rough with a flavor like this. Well done PSV.
Vapor Production
This again is another result of PSV’s average 60% VG and 50% PG ratio. Of course a big amount of vapor production, especially with my 2.2Ohm coil at 5 volts.
Conclusion
Overall, if you’re into fruit flavors, this is one of the best on the market. It offers a unique taste, nothing like you would receive from any other e-liquid company… and I think that’s why I’m so drawn to all of PSV’s flavors. With each taste of their signature flavors, you can always count on a surprising flavor that you haven’t vaped before.
How it Works
The Black Mamba’s functionality isn’t anything new. The base contains the internal (non-removable) battery, which has a capacity of 1600mAh. There is only one button on the entire device, which allows you to turn it on and adjust the temperature level.
Temperature Flexibility
The temperature flexibility is decent for such a cheap unit. When spending less than $50 most people are happy if they get a device that simply doesn’t combust their herb – let alone one that comes with temperature options.
Vapor Quality
The vapor quality is okay. I didn’t have any trouble avoiding combustion, although I did notice that flavor was generally sub par and the performance wasn’t all that great when the chamber isn’t fully packed.
Manufacturing Quality
This is obviously a cheap vaporizer and while it does have some redeeming qualities like the glass insert, it ultimate still features cheap and underwhelming.
Battery Life
The battery has a 1600mAh capacity, which translates to about an hour or less of continuous use.
Portability
The portability of this is good. If you don’t mind using the same material for multiple sessions, the big chamber can be a big strength.
Ease of Use
This is very easy to use. There is just one button that operates the entire device similar to the Utillian 420, and all you do with it is turn the unit on and adjust the temperature. Loading the chamber is as easy as removing the mouthpiece.
