Every time you vape, the heat from the coil is transferred into the e-liquid and soaked onto the wick, turning it into vapour. The longer you chain vape, the less time the e-liquid in your tank has to soak into the wick again.
How to keep vape coils in good order?
With a pair of tweezers, pinch it lightly to spread heat across the component evenly. In turn, it will heat more of the coil and not overheat certain areas leading to ‘hotspots’, which can cause that burnt taste.
What happens if you run your e-liquid too low?
Running Your E-Liquid Too Low. If you’re not keeping your tank topped up, the wick may not be able to draw enough e-liquid from it to soak. Before burning out, you could also find that it impacts the quality of the vapour production you’re getting. You can comfortably vape for a few minutes and shouldn’t suffer a dry hit, but once you’re done, leave your device for a short while and give your wick time to re-soak. As they say, patience is a virtue.
Why does vaping cause my throat to burn?

Open your airflow
Air flow helps you to enhance and adjust the flavour of your e-juice. However, if the draw is too tight or in fact closed completely you will get a burn sensation in your throat from vaping. Prime your coil
When you install a new coil you must make sure that the cotton is fully saturated before you take a puff. I know you want to get vaping right away but take a dry hit and 1, it will taste gross and 2, it will burn out your coil before you’ve even used it. Once you have installed the coil, top the tank up with juice and leave it to sit for a while.
Check your e-liquid
If you use a basic device then chances are it is recommended that you use a higher PG liquid. PG is harsher on the throat. If you really find that the vape burns your throat with a PG liquid then try a higher VG juice. We have a great range of high VG liquids that we deliver the very same day.
Reduce your nicotine level
Nicotine can feel a little scratchy on the throat. If it is causing too much discomfort then why not try reducing your nicotine level.
Allergies
If none of the above seems to give you any relief and still leave your throat burning then it might be down to an allergy. Stop vaping until you get to the bottom of the issue.

Vision spinner 2 nautilus, 12 mg with 50/50 pgvg. The vape is good but then i get a burnt taste and a very harsh burning throat burn. 3 day old bdc coil, i just switched it out with a new one and the problem went away. Any idea what might be wrong with the coil/atomzier

Idk if its a burnt or dirty coil but I dry burn it everytime i start to get a burnt taste, like i dry burn 4-5 times a day. And wash it once a day with water and then leave it to dry

Is a 3 ohm coil hot?
A .3 ohm coil is a little bit hot. I can tell a big difference between a .5 and a .3 coil. Might want to try a coil with a little more resistance.
Can you vape if you don't need nicotine?
If you don't need nicotine and vaping irritates your throat, just don't vape. If you are determined to vape, try a lower wattage. Try a different device. Try a rebuildable atty using stainless steel wire. Etc.
Can you burn out coils with long puffs?
