Why is my vape leaking through the air holes?
This is usually always the culprit. If you don't have enough wicking material then there isn't enough cotton to hold the e-liquid in the RTA or dripper, so it will just leak through the airflow holes. Try re-wicking the tank with slightly more cotton. But not too much, or that causes a different set of issue.Aug 21, 2020

What is a SMOK TFV8?
The SMOK TFV8 Baby Beast is a user friendly, low profile and portable Sub-Ohm Tank that is just spectacular in all facets of vaping! When you think of big performance in a small package, you’re looking at it right here! This has to be in my top 3 favorite Sub-Ohm Tanks! I’ve used this tank more and more as the week in review went on and now I can see why! Now all I need to do is get ahold of some new coils and the RBA deck.
Is it easier to open a smok box?
Thankfully the packaging is a little easier to open! Some of the SMOK products are very difficult to get your finger in between the top and bottom box to pull the lid off . If you’ve had several SMOK products, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Recently, they’ve made the top box smaller than the bottom so it’s easier to remove. Just a small detail SMOK paid attention to and fixed for us knit-picky buyers! The small things mean the most in my opinion.

Picked up the BBB about a week ago and it has made my Freemax Starr Pure very lonely. And I really REALLY like the Starr. But I have an issue.
dyanaprajna Super Member ECF Veteran
On both my TFV8 Cloud Beast and Kanger Toptank Nano, are both bottom airflow. The Kanger has only leaked once, and the Smok has never leaked. So you should be fine.

I have the BB and BBB, one for about 6 months. I don't fiddle with anything when I fill. Swing it open, fill, close, and vape away. Never leaked a drop.

Check to see if coil is burnt. At the end of a coil’s life, juice can begin to leak through if it’s not vaporized properly. If the coil looks burnt, replace it. This should stop the leaking. (I have noticed more leaking from the 0.15ohm compared to the 0.4ohm coil)

My baby has leaked once, and it wasn't from the bottom airflow. The topfill is easy to swing open on mine, and it once opened in my back pocket at work. Made a bit of a mess.

No leaks on mine either, I bought another Big baby beast tank because it came with an RBA deck, I'm using it with a SS Clapton dual coil, lots of smoke and flavor. I'd agree with the try to find the leak, check the air flow at the bottom, run some tissue in there, if the tissue gets wet it's going through the atomizer.

So I have a tfv4 since release and just picked up one of these new beasts, I was happy to hear they fixed the leaking issues and made it easier to build.

Try putting a drop or two on the other ring at the base of the coil when you reassemble. The one or two times I had a leak in my tfv4 this fixed it.

Juice leaking out your airflow holes? Some TFV8 coils have a manufacturing quality control problem. This fixes the issue.
jawbonejim Full Member
Cheers for that @ChicoCanada - here's hoping mine fits too. I see they've updated the rx200 to 250w. On 3 LG HG2s what would be the highest possible safe wattage at 0.15ohms on the TFV8? The use of 3 batteries is throwing me a bit even still.

Hi all i know im a little late getting to writing on this forum post but for anyone having leaking issues with the smok tfv8 like myself and others just trying to be of some help. I stopped the leaking by not wicking the cotton on the sides of the coil head since they are so exposed and they will wick pretty well once you drop the juice in there.
