Im all over the place with wattage and temps that I use. Currently I'm at 35w, 500f, and 0.21 in my Serpent Alto, and 35w and 0.26 in my OBS engine nano (still figuring this one out). My Kennedy 24s I seem to love at 75w, 480f and 0.17. These all have SS316L fused claptons in them.

Do you need to set temperature when changing to SS coil?
If you change it to SS coil you MUST Set the Temperature because you will be in TC Mode which require you to set Watts and Temperature and the powerful or whatever Modes will be for a faster Ramp Up time. Good Luck
Does bringing up wattage eliminate spit back?
Bringing up your wattage doesn't always eliminate it. a bit more wick usually helps with that because what spit back is telling you that there's too much juice getting to the coil.
