I just put it (ego twist clone) on the charger, a few minutes later I caught the smell of over heatinging electronics. I pulled the charge cable right away, but the battery is still hot. The button seems to be stuck on., Right now, it's sitting on top a bin of kitty litter and it's still hot.

I'm not going to put it in the garbage until it cools off, don't want a garbage fire. Kitty litter is clay, so I'm thinking it won't hurt anything in there.

If the short is removed and it hasn't exploded yet then it wont. But yah toss it, they so cheap that they aren't worth fixing.
