What happens if you drink vape juice?

What Happens if You Drink Vape Juice? Many experienced vapors test e-liquid flavors by tasting a droplet of the vape juice. Tasting vape juice in such a low volume isn’t harmful; unpleasant maybe, but certainly not dangerous.

Summary As mentioned, yes, e-liquid does expire. Generally, vape juice lasts around 1 to 2 years before its flavor is affected, and eventually, the liquid becomes ‘bad’ and no longer safe to consume.

Can I Leave my vape juice in my car?

Always double check that your vape juice is securely closed, and do your best to open it as infrequently as possible. Be especially careful storing and using vape juice in your car. The extreme temperatures that can build in a parked car drastically reduce the useful life of your juice.

Given the guidelines just detailed, you may be thinking the fridge is an ideal storage location being dark and cool, and you’re right! A refrigerator protects your vape juice from its biggest enemies - heat and light. You can even store e-liquid in your freezer if you like, though it’s unlikely to have any benefit over the fridge.

Does vape juice get ruined in heat?

What happens to e-juice that has been in the heat for too long? The heat ruins the flavor, so it will taste terrible if you try to use it. Heat can also alter the texture of an e-juice and break down its nicotine, so using that e-juice may clog your vape.

Does nicotine degrade in sunlight?

Nicotine is photosensitive which means it reacts to light, and in the case of the nicotine in PG solution used in most e-liquids, this results in it turning darker over time. This effect can be slowed by storing your e-liquid in a dark place away from direct sunlight.

Can vapes sit in the sun?

What happens if you leave juice in a hot car?

The good news is that your e-liquid will not be dangerous to use. Nothing in the juice can turn toxic just by heating up slightly, but it still won't be very pleasant to use. The best thing to do is throw the e-liquid away and, if it's your whole e-cigarette that's been left in the heat, change the coil too.

Can I leave my vape in a hot car?

Never leave it in a hot car. You may think, "Oh, it will be fine because it's only 80 degrees outside." However, I think we all know how hot the inside of a car can get and in a hurry! It might be 80 outside, but it is probably pushing 100 degrees in a car with the windows rolled up and the sunshine baring down on it!

Can you smoke brown vape juice?

This is actually because of the same oxidation process we have previously mentioned, and again is no cause for concern. When the nicotine in your e-liquid is exposed to oxygen, this will gradually cause it to change colour and even storing it in a dark, cool place won't stop this from happening.

Like it was stated earlier, the heat is not your e-liquids best friend. Never leave your e-juice in the car. The internal temperature of a car will be much higher than the temperature outdoors. So what happens to your e-liquid if it is left in the car? The e-liquids color will change, the viscosity changes, and the flavors turn icky.

Do not leave batteries in the heat

This one is EXTREMELY important. We all know the dangers that lithium ion batteries have, but during the summer the danger intensifies. Two things can happen if the battery is in direct heat. At 100º F (or higher) the battery will begin to form the metal itself and that causes the cell to become damaged.

I have read about e cig stuff for hours and never came across this advice. Now I have skunky juice. :- (

Sorry for your experience, but that's good advice. Juice should be stored in a dark cool place. There are those that put it in the fridge (I just use a dark cabinet) and never leave it where the sun hits it.

Has anyone ran into this problem with juice being in the mailbox on a hot day? I recently got some juice that smells and tastes gross (everyone else seems to like them) and I was wondering if this caused the problem.

No sure if this would be an issue in OH, down here in FL, my mailbox gets to about 100 degrees inside of it. I ship to my job to avoid that situation. Sorry for the bad tasting/smelling juice

I usually keep a close eye on my mailbox, especially now during the summer heat in TX and even closer if I expect batteries. Haven't had a problem with my juices yet. Depending on which vendor you ordered from, your juices may also need to steep a few days in a dark place. they may very well improve after that.
