VPC was first introduced about 3 years ago and was only found on a handful of high-end mods.

Do any of the Geek vape mods have VPC?

Bypass mode You literally “bypass” the features of the mod and it instead performs more like a mechanical mod, essentially delivering power based on your remaining battery life and the resistance of the coil you're using.

What is bypass mode on Aegis?

Most people use regular power mode or TC mode and I am just curious how many people tried to use VPC mode on Aegis. I tried it today and I like it very much. Am I alone? There is very little info about this mode and I am not sure if any other vaping device offer this mode.

For those curious VPC is the manual curve mode. Sort of like a hand made replay. I’ve got an ageis, but messing with the curve function simply seemed too complicated to me. Some people really like the curve function though. It’s just a bit of a pain getting the curve where you want it.

I use VPC all the time with the Smok Prince coils (Q4 and 6). Love it.

I don't have that mod, but I have other mods with power curves. I have used them on occasion, usually to give myself something of a "primer heat up" puff or two, and etc. They can be handy, and I definitely notice a difference, even on some non- DNA mods I use like the steampunk.

What is power mode?

Power mode is very self explanatory. You can choose the level of wattage (amount of power per second) or voltage (the force of that power). This is used to set the optimal power for your device, as written on the coil you are using, to produce the right amount of cloud and flavor.

What is VT in heating?

Temperature Control, or as referred to sometimes as Variable Temperature (VT), is a very useful mode where you set the exact temperature threshold for heating your coils steadily. TC wires are limited to their own specific setting, as their individual heating properties vary. While using this mode, make sure that you use the correct mode for the wire of your coil.

Can you set a temperature control?

Smaller coils, with a high resistance and straightforward, un-fancy wires, may have a tendency to actually cool while you’re vaping them, as a result of the constant influx of cooler juice and air…especial ly if you’re an aggressive drawer (okay, that sounded weird, vision of aggressive desk drawer, aggressive sock drawer, damn, you know what I mean!).

Do you need to fit a wick before a mod?

Do power curves work on vapes?

So you see, power curves or wattage curves are not just a gimmicky feature. What is the wattage of a box mod?

The wattage of a box mod, in layman’s terms, is essentially the amount of power you send from the mod’s battery to the atomizer (AKA your vape tank). Higher wattages equal more power, and this, in turn, creates a hotter, more intense hit. And more vapor. If you want those BIG clouds, you gotta run your vape mod at higher wattages.

Can you control the temperature of a box mod?

But Temperature Control vaping is a very useful feature of a box mod, as it allows you to control the maximum temperature that the atomizer will fire at. What is temperature control vaping?

Temperature control vaping can be an amazing experience. It provides the security of consistency that wattage vaping often lacks. No one likes dry or burnt hits, or vapes that get too hot with long hits. TC vaping solves that.

Why is my vape consistent?

Vape consistency: By having control over the temperature your coils can rise to, the vape will be consistent from puff to puff, and even within one puff. In regular wattage mode, the hits are more inconsistent because the heat of the coil changes based on the length of the hit.

What is the best wire for vaping?

TC vaping generally uses one of these four types of vape wires: 1 Stainless steel: this wire is very popular and readily available. It comes in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430 but the most common is SS316L. SS can be used in wattage or temperature control mode. 2 Nickel 200: commonly known as ni200, it was the first temperature control coil but it’s less common now due to some vapers having sensitivities to nickel. 3 Titanium Grade 1: otherwise known as Ti. It works well in TC but the user has to make sure it does not get overheated. 4 Nickel ferrous: also known as NiFe, comes in various grades such as 48, 30, 52, 70 and can be used in either mode, but is not widely available.

What does TCR mean in vaping?
