Like-new vape experience
If you want your tank to perform at its peak-potential, your tank needs to look like it has potential! Gunky residue inside the tank is an unfortunate consequence of time and vape juice. Put simply: Time + Vape Juice = Gunk (and it’s unavoidable).
Foreign objects in the tank
One of the most underrated reasons to maintain your tank is to clean out any pocket lint or germs that may have snuck in there. Mouths can be a dirty place, and it’s not too farfetched to assume that many of us have accidentally dripped some spit into our tank while vaping.
What you will need
First, you’ll want to get rid of any e-juice that’s still inside the tank. Once the tank is emptied, go ahead and disassemble the tank (throw away your old coil) and begin placing each individual piece of the tank into a bowl of warm water.

How to get rid of e juice?
High-proof, unflavored liquor such as vodka is the ideal solvent to help break down persistent e-juice deposits. Dampen a microfiber cloth or paper towel with the alcohol and rub the dirtied areas until the e-juice is removed. Wipe and rinse with warm water.
1. Strip Your Vape Down
The first step in cleaning any tank is to fully disassemble it. This includes removing any O-rings that may collect vape juice behind them. Be very careful when removing your O-rings to be sure they do not break or get punctured. Also, keep in mind that some tanks have two rings while others have three.
2. Soak Your Vape
The next step is to let the components of your vape tank soak thoroughly to break down any buildup that has occurred. You can soak your pieces in hot water, vinegar, ethanol or raw propylene glycol. Be sure to use pure vinegar or ethanol, not isopropyl alcohol.
3. Clean Your Vape
Use a small brush to gently clean connectors and the inside of your vape tank. It should not take much pressure or scrubbing to get your tank completely clean. A final rinse should wash away any debris.
4. Dry and Reassemble Your Vape
Wipe down each part and then lay it on a clean cloth to dry. You want everything to be 100 percent dry before reassembly. Some people choose to use a hair dryer to gently blow-dry the components and speed up the process. However, in doing so, O-rings may become brittle from the drying heat.
What is a vape tank?
Aside from pens and e-cigs, most modern vaping devices are designed with a reusable, removable tank system that holds the e-juice you vape. I'm fairly new to tanks, got a Mini Sub to put on my Lavatube after I received it. I am wondering if you guys can vape your tanks down to the last drop? Right now, if my tank 's juice level drops below the fill screw hole, it burns the carto up within 2-3 pulls.

I generally fill mine when it get's below half full. Since you're using a side fill tank, why bother letting it go empty.

It sounds like your tank isn't feeding the carto very well. I wonder why? What percentage PG/VG are you using. What cartos?

It definitely sounds like there's some sort of flow issue there. I actually filled a tank (standard Smoktech w/ metal caps) last night to full capacity (after priming the carto), and this morning I wasn't getting any flow. I tried to dry pull quite a bit, and while I was getting bubbles out, the flow just wouldn't start on it's own.

Normally once my tank is roughly 2/3 empty, I will refill/top it off. I usually do this just for piece of mind, so that while I'm in the middle of something, I don't run completely empty. Of course, it could always be just my OCD.....lol.

Not a problem vaping the Erlkonigin down to the dregs, and since I went to the Vapor Flask DNA 40, the juice doesn't cook in the tank and get dark. Every day gets better.

I have an EVOD Glass tank and the only time I let it get below 1/4 is if I'm out and can't refill. Even then, I'll try to take it easy or not vape at all. The only issues I've ever had with my tanks are when I vape near empty (flooding, scorched juice, etc.).

Can you put a mouthpiece in the floor heat register?
As one helpful Reddit user pointed out, you can sit all the leftover mouthpiece up in an in-floor heat register. First, remove the battery, and the cartridge should sit nicely between the slats. So long as the heat is on in your house, it won’t take much for the oil to move around closer to the interior heating element.
How to fix a hair dryer?
Option #1: Use a Hair Dryer 1 Remove the battery from the cartridge and set aside. 2 Place the cartridge mouthpiece side up (fastener side down) on a table. You can use masking tape or styrofoam as a means to stabilize the bottom during this process. 3 Turn the hairdryer on low and point at the cartridge. It should sit 12″ away from the cartridge to start. You can move it closer if needed. 4 Blow hot air on the cartridge until you see movement inside. The concentrate heats up and begins to liquefy. The bubble should soon move out of the way and pop near the surface. The remaining liquid is back in action and ready to vape.
