I vape dark sweet juices at work and I have to rewick every night... I vape fruit flavors at night in my dripper and don't have to rewick for days.....all in all if it tastes like crap or your vapor production has decreased its time to rewick

Depending on what I vape, my cotton can go from white to black, and back to white, but when it gets matted down and fluid does not seem to wick up fast, I know time is coming for a change.

I replace mine every night, but I also use 70vg, dark, sweet juice. I could probably do it every other day or so but, I mainly do it so I can dry burn my coils. They get gunked up quick with sweet stuff. For me anyway.
Types of wick materials
The most popular type of wick material is still cotton. Cotton wicks are extremely common and inexpensive, and many people prefer using them. You can buy a bag of cotton balls at virtually any store in the world, so you’ll never be without wicking material). The second most common option is rayon, a semi-synthetic man-made fiber.

Dry herb vaporizers don’t use wicks, since there is no liquid to absorb. But the coil (also known as the heating element) can degrade over time. I'm tired... (venting and ranting)
I've been vaping for 7 years. I've vaped on just about everything. Rebuild tanks with ribbon wire, countless RDAs, countless tanks, mech mods, regulated mods, squonk boxes... I even made a 4x18650 parallel mod. I was in charge of putting a vape section in a head shop. I've bought juice, I've made juice.

Thanks to vaping, I quit my social smoking... but now I am a daily vaper - am I worse off?
I was a social smoker, smoking maybe on average 1 cig a day... sometimes went days without smoking. The majority of my smoking came when going out and drinking, in which case I would smoke a lot... like 10-20 cigs a night. This would happen maybe once every 2-3 weeks on average...
My Dad has been smoking for fifty years..
My whole life I've watched my dad smoke cigarettes and struggle with trying to quit. I followed down his same path as well and know his struggle well. Two years ago I switched to the myblu kit and although it has its problems it started my down my path to being cigarette free and I haven't looked back.
Life insurance
I applied for some life insurance and was honest about vaping. They did NOT classify me as a smoker. I got a standard rating (because I am fat and lazy).
