I have a lot of love for Vaporesso, but the Vaporesso Revenger is definitely not a mod that I would ever recommend. Period
If you read VapeBeat regularly, you’ll know I am a massive fan of Vaporesso. I love its OMNI Board chip, I’ve praised its mods and tanks in the past, and I love its EUC coil system. But something appears to have gone wrong with the Vaporesso Revenger kit.

I’ve seen some pretty uninspiring mods in my time, but the Vaporesso Revenger has to be one of the saddest. Designed to do battle with the SMOK Alien 220W, the Vaporesso Revenger lacks nearly all of the SMOK mod’s USPs and design finesse.

Vaporesso’s NRG tank is the main culprit for my overall dislike of this kit. I have ran 10 coils in this thing and every single one of them crapped out after two days (max).

With SMOK’s Baby Beast coils installed, things work fine. The mod itself, while gross on the outside, performs brilliantly and has enough features under the hood to keep you interested.
Product intro and specs
The TARGET 80 is the latest kit from popular manufacturer VAPORESSO. They have been making devices at a quick pace this year, with releases like the XROS 2, XROS MINI, LUXE 80, GTX GO… and that’s just a few of them.
TARGET 80 features
The TARGET 80 mod fires between 5-80 watts and adjusts in half-watt increments. It features a large bright color screen, an internal 3000 mAh battery, and 2A fast charging. There is a menu button that leads to a full menu with modes like Pulse, VW, and what they call FT mode.
First impressions
I’ve used and reviewed many VAPORESSO devices including a few that use this line of coils, so I’m pretty familiar going into this already. The GTX 26 pod tank is nothing new but has proven to be a solid tank over the past few devices I’ve reviewed it on. The coils do restricted DL for the most part, and they are good at it.
A Look at the Contents
I’m only going to touch on the packaging of the Osmall very briefly, because Vaporesso have already told me that the commercial version is going to be packaged differently. My review sample came in a small, blue cardboard box, with an outline of the device on the front, and a list of contents as well as technical specifications on the back.
Design and Build Quality
I’m going to be very direct and tell you that the new Osmall isn’t the most well-built pod system I’ve ever tried. It’s not even close, but the good thing is that Vaporesso isn’t trying to market it as such. It’s made of plastic, has a very basic design, it doesn’t innovate in any way, but it is really, really cheap.
Battery Life and Performance
While the Vaporesso Osmall may be reminiscent of the Renova Zero in terms of looks, when it comes to battery life, it doesn’t hold a candle to that pod system. While the Renova had a built-in 600mAh battery, the Osmall battery only has a capacity of 350mAh, which is about what the industry average back in the day.
Conclusion
The Vaporesso Osmall isn’t the most advanced vaping device money can buy. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. It’s simple to use, extremely light on features, is made of plastic and doesn’t offer much in terms of personalization.
