Poor Connection from battery to cartridge
510 thread batteries transfer voltage to the cartridge through a connection plate that that is found on the inside of the threading. This plate is supposed to move up and down to accommodate different cartridges that screw on at different depths.
Dirty Connection between your battery and cartridge
If a cartridges internal hole and the thickness of the oil in it are not paired correctly, it can result in oil leaking into the thread area. When this oil gets in between the connection plates it reduces the conductivity, in other words, it can stop your battery from firing.
Bad Charger Connection
It’s possible that your connection to the charger could also be an issue. Check these connection plates to make sure that when your battery is plugged in, it is actually charging. A battery without a charge will not fire at all and you won’t see the lights turn on when activating it or turning it on.

Solution: 1. try another coil setup see if it works. 2. if 1. doesnt work then #2 is the issue, gently VERY gently lift the center pin upwards a tad with tweezers etc, retry new coil ( if you have one)
Does the 510 have a vent hole?
It does - with a nice big vent hole in the center of it. It's the hole that's the more common source of the problem with 510 autos - and liquid getting in there and... bad things happening. It's not usually a pushed in post. We do know it's making good contact with the charger. Need to know more about what the battery is and isn't doing when drawn on though.

I have search the net and cannot find any help wit this.... do es anyone know what the blinking LED codes are for the 510 batteries? I sure some manufactures have different codes. What i mean by codes is: how many times the LED blinks.

I dont know of a guide. Doesnt mean there isnt one. When I used a 510 batt I would just use it til it stopped, screw it into the charger and wait for the light to turn green. I never gave much thought to the number of blinks on the batt.
How to fix a short positive on a 510?
If you are using a tank system with a semi-flush 510, you may need to use a tool such as a precision flat-head screwdriver to pry it out slightly to get a good contact with the base unit. It won’t take much to get the contact working right, just adjust it slightly, lifting it higher before marrying the components to see if it worked.
