  • CLOSE YOUR AIR HOLES WHEN NOT USING YOUR MOD. When you’re not actively vaping, simply close the air hole. There will be fewer places for the e-liquid to escape from.
  • KEEP YOUR MOD VERTICAL. As much as you might love throwing your setup into your bag while you’re out and about, you should try keeping it standing upright.
  • CHECK FOR CRACKS IN YOUR TANK. While tanks are great at what they do, they can, and do, break. ...
  • CHECK THE O-RINGS AND OTHER PARTS OF THE TANK. Many setups come with spare o-rings (the little plastic circles that keep everything together). ...
  • CHANGE YOUR COIL. Your coil has a short life span. If you haven’t changed your coil recently, it might be time. Often times, coils can become flooded.
  • MAKE SURE YOU ARE FILLING YOUR TANK PROPERLY. Each tank has certain parts that help it function properly. There are specific places where the e-juice should be placed.
  • DON’T OVERFILL YOUR TANK. If you insert too much eliquid, it will need a place to escape. This very well may be on your hands or in your pocket.
  • USE THE RIGHT ELIQUID. When ordering e-liquid, you’ll probably be asked for your VG/PG preferences. What should your order?
  • DON’T INHALE LIKE A CIGARETTE. Sure, many of us started vaping because we wanted to quit smoking. The way we smoked cigarettes was to inhale quickly and firmly.
  • TURN UP THE WATTAGE. If you’re vaping at a wattage that is too low for your setup, the atomizer might not be able to vaporize the liquid fast enough.

I use a simple carto/eGo combo for in flight vaping. Not my first choice but it works.

When I fly I bring a half bottle of juice so it has room to expand, and an RDA. I normally don't vape on planes because my flights are usually less than 2 hours though. For tanks, maybe try keeping it half full or less, or keep them empty and fill once you get in the air and feel like you need a vape.

Where is the liquid in a vape?

There is vape liquid in the chimney. The chimney of your e-cigarette is the hollow tube in the middle of your tank. If liquid gets into this area, it can cause some minor (but annoying) problems like spitting, popping, and leaking. The easiest way to prevent your eLiquid from getting into the chimney is to make sure you don't overfill the tank.

What happens if you overfill a vape tank?

If you overfill, the liquid will seep into other areas of the tank and seep out. You shouldn't fill your tank all the way up, either. Your vape needs that gap of air to create pressure in the tank, giving you a better vaping experience. Check out the manufacturer's recommendations for how much to fill the tank and stick to it.

What are vape o-rings made of?

Most vapes have o-rings made from a rubber material. The rubber can get brittle and dry with age. If you've had your vape for a while, it's worth checking on the quality of the o-rings if you are suddenly experiencing leaks. The o-rings should be firm but pliable.

How strong are e-cigarette tanks?

E-cigarette tanks are pretty strong, but they aren't invincible. They are mostly made of glass, which means there is always a chance they could get broken or cracked. Most vapers use their e-cigarettes all day long, meaning the device journeys from car to the office and back home again. They might get shoved in a pocket or tossed on a desk. So it's no wonder that damage happens to the tank occasionally. If you start to experience leaks, hold your vape up to a light and examine the tank closely. The light will make it easier to see hairline cracks or chips in the edges that could be causing the leaks. If you see any signs of damage, order a replacement tank right away (and consider investing in a carrying case for your vape!).

Why is VG liquid thicker than other liquids?

Because of the thicker consistency, they are less likely to leak than liquids made from other bases.

Why do I have to twist my e-cigarette?

That's because overtightening can cause damage to the o-rings, or rubber rings, that create the seal. If you damage those, it's very easy for liquid to come out. So give your e-cigarette a tight twist to ensure it's closed, but don't twist it as hard as you possibly can.

What happens if you inhale too much liquid?

If you inhale too forcefully, you risk bringing too much e-liquid into the coil, which may lead to leakage. Watch out when filling – Never overfill your tank. Always leave a small air pocket at the top when filling. This empty space will help prevent any liquid from leaking out.

How to remove e juice from a tank?

First make sure the threads are in sync and closed tightly, but not too tight. Find that sweet spot. If the threads are crossed, screw it back together carefully. Why does my tank leak out of the airflow holes?

Vape coils fall into two categories: high resistance and low resistance. The electrical resistance, measured in ohms, basically describes how quickly the atomizer head can turn the liquid into a vapor. High resistance coils have an electrical resistance above 1 ohm. Low resistance pulls below 1 ohm. High PG liquids.

What is the coil on a vape called?

It's crucial to replace the vape coil depending on the type of e-liquid that you're using. Sometimes, you'll hear the coil referred to as an atomizer or atomizer head. The atomizer is the part of the vape that heats the e-liquid and transforms it into the vapor that you inhale.

Why does my atomizer leak?

Use the correct power setting for your liquid. Another reason that flooding, and, consequently, leaking occurs is that a surplus of juice sits in the atomizer.
