How much eliquid does a TFV8 tank use?

The same inefficiency applies to an M1A2 Abrams military tank. Such vehicles are designed for power, not good mileage. So it is for the TFV8. People who buy and love the TFV8 know going in that they’ll need a 120ml bottle of eliquid by their side to keep the tank fed, and they don’t care.

What is the main criticism of the original TFV4?

As far as I’m concerned, the main criticism of the original TFV4 sub-ohm clearomizer tank was its tendency to go through eliquid like there was no tomorrow. Sure, it produced an impressive vaping experience with intense flavor and dense, saturated vapor, but the tank had to be refilled every time you turned around.

How many drops of eliquid do you need to refill TFV8?

The TFV8 tank takes that to new heights (or depths). We could jokingly assert that the TFV8 tank is more like an RDA dripper, but rather than having to re-drip 15 drops of eliquid every five minutes, you have to refill the tank with 5ml of eliquid every half hour. That’s an exaggeration, of course, but to suggest that the TFV8 is a thirsty tank is an understatement.

Is the TFV8 a good tank?

For instance, the patented swiveling cap top fill of the TF-series — already one of the best top fill methods on the market — has been improved by increasing the size of the eliquid slot. The TFV8 is another very well-made offering from SMOK. In my opinion, it’s the best built tank in SMOK’s entire sub-ohm clearo tank and RTA lineup.

Is TFV8 a con?

In a way, the TFV8’s profligate consumption of eliquid is not a con, but rather a badge of honor — confirmation that this is one beast of a tank.

Is TFV8 a vape?

No, the TFV8’s métier is in-your-face intensity. The tank is designed to provide an over-the-top vaping experience, and it delivers that very well.

What coils does the Cloud Beast use?

Is the TFV4 good?

The TFV4 did okay in the market and became quite popular with vapers, but it did have some drawbacks, not the least of which is its tendency to leak. Smok took the feedback of TFV4 users and made a follow-up that is a whole lot better, the TFV8 Cloud Beast.

Why is Smok called the Cloud Beast?

Giving excellent and huge cloud production is why Smok named the TFV8 the Cloud Beast.

What tank is SMOK TFV8?

Can Cloud Beast run at 150W?

Being able to perform at high wattages like 150W all day and not so much as even breaking a sweat has really put a lot of RDAs on shelves. The Cloud Beast can out perform some of the top RDAs on the market such as The Recoil and the Troll v2.

Can you go longer between refills on Baby Beast?

I also enjoy the Baby Beast and the fact that I can go longer between refills and still outdo my friends sub-ohm tanks and even some of their RDAs!

Is Baby Beast a good vape?

Not really all that bad to be honest. Able to perform at the mid to high wattage range, the Baby Beast might just be right for you if you don’t enjoy those 150W or higher vapes but want that very similar performance.

What is in the box of Cloud Beast?

Inside the box, we have the Cloud Beast sitting in a foam holder, and underneath that are two massive coil heads, a spare glass tube, a bag of organic cotton, an Allen key, spare O-rings and gaskets, a couple of vape bands and a small instructional leaflet. It’s about as meaty as a sub-ohm tank kit can get, so in that regard, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.

How much juice does a TFV8 tank have?

Just like with the TFV4, you can see the level of juice dropping in the tank after just 4 or 5 serious hits. There’s a reason the TFV8 has a juice capacity of 6ml, any less and you’d have to refill it every 15 minutes. But what do you expect from a tank designed with cloud chasing in mind? Those big, thick clouds don’t form out of thin air, you know. They need juice, lots of juice. If you’re used to vaping expensive, gourmet e-liquid, the TFV8 will probably burn a big hole in your wallet, but if you blend your own, you should be alright.

What coils are in the TFV8?

The SMOK TFV8 currently has three types of coil heads available, plus an 18mm RBA. The tank comes pre-installed with a 1.5Ω quadruple coil head, and the kit also contains the massive 1.5Ω octuple coil head and the RBA which comes with two pre-installed large-diameter fused Clapton coils. The 0.2Ω sextuple coil head can be purchased separately from the SMOK website. All these different options should keep you busy for a while, but knowing SMOK, we’ll probably have around 15 different coil heads and RBAs to choose from in just a few months. When it comes to diversity, no other company even comes close to SMOK, but don’t take my word for it, just check out their site and see all the different variants of mods, tanks and coil options for yourself.

How big is the Smok TFV8?

They share the same general design, they are just as long, and have the same diameter (24.5mm), at least at the base, because the glass portion of the Cloud Beast opens into 25.5mm to accommodate a maximum of 6ml of e-liquid. Also, the refilling system is the same on both tanks, with SMOK’s patented swivel top-cap that can be pushed to the side to reveal a silicone gasket with a large fill port.

How many holes are there in TFV4?

The bottom airflow control system has also been modified. The four cyclops air slots of the TFV4 have now been reduced to two massive holes that can be opened and closed freely by rotating a metallic ring. Despite the reduction in the number of air slots, their size makes the TFV8 even airier than SMOK’s former flagship tank.

Does the TFV8 have o rings?

Finally, the TFV8 comes with bright orange o-rings that make the tank stand out more, and the connector pin protrudes much more than it did on the TFV4, so the chances of getting a short circuit warning because of the threading touching the battery connection are virtually non-existent.

Is the TFV8 a cloud beast?

Performance-wise, the TFV8 is definitely worthy of its “Cloud Beast” name. I can’t begin to describe how much vapor this thing can produce under the right circumstances. I say that because anything under 90W just isn’t enough to unleash the beast in the Cloud Beast . You might get a decent mouthful of cool vapor at around 70W, but you’re going to need a lot more than that to bring out the best of its massive coil heads.

How many coils are there for TFV12 Prince?

Hi, I bought a baby beast awhile ago and I really like it. I'm considering buying the TFV8 cloud beast as an upgrade. Problem is I don't like high wattages... I don't like to go above 35 watts. Is it possible to have a good vape with the tfv8 at this low wattages or should I just stick to my baby beast?

Tonee N Vaping Master Verified Member ECF Veteran

I don't think you would get much out of the coil at 30 watts since it's a 0.15 coil. They do come with a RBA which you could put a dual build in to get you where you want.

I have the big baby beast here and like the above comment from steve said it won't really work, those tanks are made for higher wattage and clouds, if you really want to use it get the rba and build accordingly.

I have the cloud beast and it won't fire down that low. I use mine at 90 Watts and it's still a cool vape. Awesome clouds .

stols001 Moved On ECF Veteran

When I was using the Cleto tank with coils at 0.15 I found it hard to get a satisfying vape below 40 watts, and 40 was really pushing it. I think it would be hard to get those coils vaping well in your current wattage range.
