I have been using the smok alien and smok prince tanks for a couple of years now. I get on average about three to four thousand puffs on every coil that I drop in. It's weird because I have seen that people only get a thousand before they start to burn.

If you say average each puff at 2 seconds per puff that come out, times 5000, at 166 and a bit minutes use. I think. That's 2.7 hours. Say you have 100 puffs a day, that's 700 a week. That becomes 7.14 weeks use. At the stated 80 watts.

At one point, I got curious why an used coil, perfectly cleaned to look like new, would produce so little Vapour and flavour.

I've always had good luck with Smok products. That being said I've been using a Baby Beast for about 2 or 3 years and the coils never lasted that long. I recently purchased a TF 2019 tank and the mesh coils that come with it last for weeks. No leaking, no burning out. I haven't had a bum coil yet.

Honestly, the bigger factor to coil life in my experience is the juice you are vaping. Not even so much the VG/PG ratio, although this can affect it as well. But more the sweeteners, flavor percentage, flavor type, etc.

So many posts about using the same coils forever and not cleaning atomizers. Makes me wonder if you guys also see how long you can go without showering or changing your underwear --haha! I build my own coils so it costs me pennies to make a new coil. I replace wicks and coils frequently and I clean atomizers frequently... I also shower every day.

What is the wattage of a box mod?

The wattage of a box mod, in layman’s terms, is essentially the amount of power you send from the mod’s battery to the atomizer (AKA your vape tank). Higher wattages equal more power, and this, in turn, creates a hotter, more intense hit. And more vapor. If you want those BIG clouds, you gotta run your vape mod at higher wattages.

What is sub ohm tank?

Sub-Ohm tanks are designed to produce more clouds. They do this by having a lower resistance (0.2ohms, for instance), and this allows for less electrical resistance which in turn allows for more signal to flow to the atomizer.

What are the benefits of temperature control?

Benefits of Temperature Control Vaping 1 Better Flavor Control: Certain E Juices perform better at different temperatures. For instance: having a lower temperature might bring out the sweetness more. Or, going higher could bring out richer tones. 2 Fewer Dry Hits: Because the maximum temperature is locked, you won’t get anywhere near as many dry hits – the atomizer just can’t get enough power to do it. 3 Increased Coil Life Span: With the temperature locked, you’re not maxing out the coil every time you vape, which means the coil head will last longer. 4 You Use Less Vape Juice: Again, with the temperature locked in, you can find a sweet spot where you get great flavor at lower temperatures (and, therefore, power). Less power means less E Juice burned.
